The Day Fandoms Formed a Military Unit

These images represent some of my absolute favorite memories of the cosplay community. This occurred on Day 2 of Anime Conji 2011.

I was cosplaying as Denmark from Hetalia, but I teamed up with a cosplayer of Halo, Vash the Stampede (Trigun), and Vegeta (Dragon Ball Z). We decided we were a military unit and actually worked together, strategizing as we "climbed" up the hotel structure!

I will always cherish this memory because it perfectly shows that four cosplayers from entirely different fandoms can instantly collaborate, work together, and have a genuinely great time. I’m truly grateful that I was part of this remarkable, spontaneous event.

Hey all, despite my hissy fit earlier this month, tumblr is the only place that I can do a poll and I need ask a few questions about people buying comics at conventions. I was vendoring recently and realized that people were hesitant to buy physical comics- and it wasn't just at my booth. So I'd like to see if there's something I can do to make a physical comic more appealing.

I didn't get many photos, since I was barely at the con and was working while I was there, but here is my entire #sanjapan2022 cosplay photo dump. Of course, had to get the great Snufkin & Snork Maiden from Moomin, Umi Ryuzaki (best! girl!) from Magic Knight Rayearth, fantastic Kerberos Panzer Cop from Jin-Roh, the Valkyrie unit (Mika & Shu) from Ensemble Stars who did an AMAZING skit performance, and an outtake of @kyle.belmont as Ya Boy Kong Ming. It was so fun to help fetch water for cosplayers and see the show (and closet cosplay a little!), though I don't think I am ready for a full con experience again yet. (Just a few hours of running back & forth had me deceased!) Kudos to @bananaprincesscos and her hardworking staff for a great show!
