Lorraine stood next to her husband as she thought about the idea of bringing someone into their home. Of course, the church asked them but at the same time, made it seem as more like an order than a request. It wasn't until they started talking about the things the young girl could do that Lorraine began to realize that they were the only people who could possibly help her.
She'd had her own fears when she was younger, wishing there was someone out there that could understand her. She also knew her own daughter needed someone closer to her age that understood the life they led, fighting evil. Taking a deep breath, the lecture ending, she turned towards Ed, arm wrapping around his as he looked at her.
"You know that the young girl is going to be here today. I think she's going to meet us at home after we've finished. Last moment to decide if you want to back out of being a teacher... a teacher. I want to say we shouldn't but the truth is Ed. I don't think we can. I've been having this dream with a young blond girl in it. She's beautiful but broken and in the dream, she was pushed away from people who could help her and a demon found her."
There was a worried look on her face as she bit down on her lower lip, arm tightening on Ed's. If that young woman in my dreams, is Miss Stark then I'm afraid if we don't open our home to her, one day we will be fighting her, or if not us, then Judy." She could see the same serious expression that Ed always had when she talked about her dreams. "Besides, from what the Cardinal said, she's a very humble young lady who was going to become a nun but her father is quite wealthy and made sure that the church denied her. I just don't understand parents sometimes." She chuckled, "maybe I"m just too open minded in thinking that I want our daughter to be whatever it is that her heart desires."

It was strange standing in the Warren's house as the young girl had answered the door and let her in. She was sure that she had to be the Warren's daughter. The young teen, looked up at her and Kara reached into her bag pulling out a cherry lollipop. "I heard from someone that cherry was your favorite flavor and I got these at my favorite candy shop in Manhattan. If you like them, let me know and when I go home, I'll send you an entire box."
Judy told her thank you before showing her where to sit down. It didn't take long before the older man walked into his living room and Kara stood back up. She reached out to shake his hand, a nervous smile still playing over her lips. then as she looked over at his wife walking through the doorway, her eyes didn't budge from her. "Mrs. Warren." They were slow and full of questions that she didn't think it was the place to ask.
Lorraine, smiled and walked over to Kara. Instead of shaking her hand, she wrapped her arms around her, pulling the girl into a hug. "Well, I guess we've met before haven't we?" Lorraine's question was more of a statement, knowing the young girl had dreamed of her as well. Letting go, she turned towards her daughter. "Let's go out back and you can tell me about your classes today. Your father needs to talk to this young woman about a job." Turning back to Kara, her expression soft. "I do hope you plan to stay for dinner."
Kara nodded before turning back to Ed, not wanting to stare at the woman from her dreams anymore than she had. "Mr. Warren. Thank you so much for seeing me and giving me this oppertunity."
