you  exist  at  the  end  of  the  world  with  her,     and  she  is  everything  you  would  have  imagined  if  you  had  thought  about  such  a  situation;   she  looks  the  part,   &  more  importantly,  her  presence  is  killer  enough  to  make  you  think  she’ll  always  be  fun  to  be  around.   so,   she’s  the  knight,    travelling  &  strong   &  whether  willingly  or  not,  doting  towards  the  princess.    you  don’t  take  yourself  to  be  her,  but  you  hope  nonetheless  that  you  fit  in,  somehow.     the  first  time  you  met  her,   there  was  the  groaning  of  the  dead    (  *  you  will  not  call  them  dragons,   because  dragons  are  not  all  bad        ),   but  you  stopped  hearing  them  when  her  conversation  flooded  your  ears;     she  spoke  something  confident,  &  sure,   and  when  a  hand  falls  to  your  hip,   casual  as  ever,   you  didn’t  complain:    to  be  close  of  body,  surely,  is  the  first  step  to  being  close  of  spirit.   you  knew,   even  then,   you  would  love  nothing  more.

the  knight  will  have  become  a  staple  in  your  life,   as  expected.     nights  when  you  are  restless,   you  can  count  on  her  to  save  you.    in  the  cold  fall  air,   she  places  a  palm  beneath  your  chin,   &  fingers  will  caress  jaw,  thumb  will  rest  below  lips,   and  it  will  feel  like  you  are  burning  alive            you  know  it  is  more  than  just  the  warmth  of  flesh  against  flesh:     it  ignites  something  in  your  stomach,  and  you  let  it  spew  out  your  mouth;    awe  struck  admissions  of  adoration.   and  when  she  takes  that  away,   you  will  not  be  deprived  for  long:     handsy  is  not  always  bad,    because  sometimes,   they  will  move  to  smooth  the  fabric  of  your  shirt  just  to  wrap  it  in  hand,   and  through  it,  you  will  feel  physical  reminder  against  BUTTERFLY  INFESTED  stomach  that  she  is  here. 

as  time  goes  on,   as  she  takes  you  further  from  the  tower  of  boredom,   you  still  will  not  bend  to  the  four  of  cups:    you  will  grin  all  the  same  when  thumb  lingers  atop  nose.   you  will  remember  such  a  soft  thing,  &  how  you  stole  it  from  yourself  by  grabbing  her  hand.     you  will  look  at  it  a  moment,  grateful  for  all  the  journeys  it  has  been  in  yours  through,  and  then  you  will  look  to  her  face,    jest  bubbling  up  your  throat.   you  will  not  choke  it  down:    this,  you’ve  learned, is  true  to  yourself  and  something  she  enjoys;    there  is  no  better  victory.

who laughs when the other trips?

neither laugh !! i feel like noah is too over protective of charlant to laugh at anything involving him possibly getting hurt and i feel like if noah fell ?? charlant would be like “cupid !! i’ll help you back up !!” 2 pure for the world

i mean ?? just based on how ‘head in the clouds’ charlant is, i feel like noah would. this is just bcs noah is a little bit more grounded in earth and would probs get through stuff like this much faster

look… can u imagine these nerds during the holidays >?? so cute, honestly. but yeah, i feel like both would make a relatively big deal, but they might name it something else ?? like, not refer to christmas as that. instead something rllhy dumb but cute and funny. i feel like they’d just have rlly weird and random traditions. 

who checks their daily horoscope?

perhaps charlant. i don’t rlly feel like they’d pay much attention to horoscopes, though. it’d just be something fun to read/look at. 

who sings louder in the car? 

noah for sure. idk i get the feeling that noah would sing while charlant just… soaks it all up. he just sits there and absorbs noah singing and probably even thinks he has a beautiful voice even tho he sounds like a dying whale. 

who leaves the cap off the toothpaste?

look, i feel like this is charlant. he’s just ??? so distracted all the time and constantly in and out of this world that i feel like it’d be relatively easy for him to forget to do small things like this. 

who is more up to date in pop culture?

to quote his bio “Charlant Leroux was a very typical hipster. Popular culture told him what was what was in and he pretended not to listen while finding himself slipping on skinny jeans and honing his knowledge of craft beers.” yeah, pretty sure it would be charlant

who insists on going to see the newest movies?

i feel like this would go along with pop culture, but charlant would like… drag them to a small indie theater that plays old french movies and new indie movies

who cries when the abused animal commercials come on?

i’m not sure who would cry, but i know the mood would shift dramatically after watching one. charlant and noah would both be very sad, but i don’t think they’d cry. it’d just get really quiet until noah clears his throat loudly and is like “ok so do u wanna go get a drink ?? ”

who’s the lighter sleeper?

for some reason, i feel like it would be charlant. i literally have no reasoning, but i feel like he would be the lighter sleeper. 

who believes in ghosts?

man… this is tricky tbh. i feel like both believe in it pretty equally ?? but like i’ve said with other things, it’s more of a skepticism about what else is out there. 

who does the grocery shopping?

i feel like i keep answering “both” for everyone, but like… seriously both. they would kinda go to the market together, separate to get what they need, then meet back up in front of the market. i just feel like this is what they’d do ?? and noah would probs be done way before charlant so he’d go to a nearby starbucks and bring him coffee.

his first impression — honestly? that she seemed pretty rad. she came into the garage ( back when it was still apocalypse farms — oh, how he missed those days ) looking for some gas to siphon out of the cars for her bike and they ended up having a conversation about weed — and later smoking it as well. definitely an edgy, bad–ass type, but in an artistic way. 

his current impression — still the most bad–ass chick in cheyenne. the only difference is now he knows that she’s capable of being a softy sometimes, too. ( although he’s smart enough never to say it out loud, especially not around her. )  crazy open–minded and enlightened. 

what he likes most about your muse — adventures to the top of the cheyenne water tower to try and talk to aliens. their high af cuddle seshes in the back of the van where they’re just a mess of limbs and pillows and she waxes poetic about all her different tattoos. her creativity. the unexpected tangents their conversations go on. 

what he dislikes most about your muse — when she teases him and gives him endless shit for flirting with her bc he just thinks she’s so wonderful and creative and intelligent he compliments her all the time. he just likes to remind her how rad she is. (  and besides, he’s totally trying to flirt with someone e l s e if he can actually get up the gall — shhh. )  he doesn’t actually mind it though, but he’d be hard–pressed to come up with anything else he disliked.

a general opinion of their relationship — the absolute fucking best. their friendship gives me life. it gives him life. it’s just so good?? she’s just the right amount of cynical and skeptical to pull his head out of the clouds sometimes and i feel like he needs that, but other times, she’s happy to get just as lifted.
