Just one thing that in this jam packed episode I’d like to point out,
Not only are the sundered houses specifically the einsf-something(the german sounding one) are effectively privatizing the guards/military of the Arcane Marshals, therefore putting them under their command and gutting all the others, but also banning magic of being used, essentially turning them useless cause even if technically they’re allowed to still work, they can’t practice their speciality Magic, in at least the marketplace if not somewhere else later,
And that also happening at the Magic College of sorts, trying to ban the magic and also by funding the new dean and kicking out the old one, essentially privatizing that one too and sooner or later banning magic there too
And the big ol thing of Halovar (and probably the Tachonis and others too) being the only ones who will probably be “legally” use magic
Totally not a metaphor at all of something definitely not happening on the US as we speak and that the US has done with the rest of the world especially the global south :)
