These Confetti Cake Mini Donuts are a fun and colorful treat that will bring joy to any occasion. They are perfect for birthday parties, brunch, or just as a delightful snack.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles. 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/4 tsp baking soda. 1/4 tsp salt. 1/2 cup buttermilk. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1 large egg. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. 1/4 cup powdered sugar for glaze. 1-2 tbsp milk for glaze.
Instructions: Preheat your mini donut maker according to manufacturer's instructions. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, rainbow sprinkles, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix. Spoon or pipe the batter into the donut molds of the donut maker, filling them about 2/3 full. Close the donut maker and cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the donuts are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the mini donuts from the maker and let them cool on a wire rack. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and enough milk to make a smooth glaze. Dip each cooled mini donut into the glaze, allowing excess to drip off. Sprinkle additional rainbow sprinkles on top of the glaze while it's still wet. Let the glaze set for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your Confetti Cake Mini Donuts!
