Would You Fuck This Furry?
The Conductor from A Hat in Time

The Conductor is a loud, outspoken, and vulgar movie director who makes Western films, and he's eager to win the Annual Bird Movie Awards. He won't hesitate to cheat to maintain his winning streak against his rival. While the Conductor is supposedly an owl, he doesn't bear much resemblance to the owls who work for him aside from his owl tail and jagged beak, something that the protagonists take note of. But eh, don't worry about it. (I actually couldn't find a picture of him that shows his owl tail but apparently he has one??)
Harsh as he can be, depending on certain choices the player makes, the Conductor shows a more concerned, heroic side and rushes to Hat Kid's aid at one point. However, the other outcome involves him wanting to rewrite time so that he never loses an award, even going as far as trying to murder Hat Kid, so. Ya know, this bird's got layers! Also he's a grandfather and adores his grandchildren.

Hey, conductor! Huge fan here!
How do you get inspiration for your movies? Are non-birds able to audition for parts??
Ah, a fan, I see! Well, I get me inspiration from many places! Mostly from me own life experiences!
as fer auditions, well⊠Ever since that little lass became the star of one of me movies⊠Iâve been a tinsey bit more open to human actors in me movies. Me current one already has a full cast list, buuutttt⊠Iâll let ye audition fer me next movie. BUT DONâ THINK IâLL LET YE IN EASY! I require the very best actors fer me movies! (Especially since I need to keep winning those annual bird movie awards!)
(IM NOT DEAD I SWEAR I JUST HAD A LACK OF MOTIVATION AND LIFE THINGS LMAO- we are here we are here we are here!! /ref)
How's your latest movie been going? And what's it going to be about?
Heh! Itâs goinâ very well! But, I canât just be spilling me secrets everywhere, now can I? I canât tell ye what itâs about until the trailer is out! Heh heh!
(My BAD chat I despawned for a while LMAO my life has been going to shit for a little bit so Iâve been a bit gone-)

[*A teenage looking human with a biker attire and a scar over his eye enters this... Interesting 'ask box', spinning his Dessert Eagle pistol. Unfortunately no revolver to fit the more... Western atmosphere.*]
"Well... I'll be damned. If it isn't Mr. Conductor. Kind of a fan of yours with your western and mystery movies. Not necessarily my cup of tea, but I have an eye for quality, you see.
This is not a rather serious question, but I am intrigued. Besides your own lovely projects, do you have any personal favorite movies made by other producers that you have watched? And no, we are not restricted just to your rival. It can be anyone, anything. Granted I know some directors who might not be familiar to you, but I'd still love to hear some of your recommendations!
If you ask me, some of my personal movies include Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now and Jim Jarmusch's Night On Earth. Perfect works of art that transcend the art of filmmaking! Oooooooooh, especially Night On Earth. This was more than just a surreal experience..."
[*This âAsk Boxâ is an office-like space, posters of most of Conductorâa movies lined the walls. In the center of it all, past the ornately carved saloon door that Conductor must have put quite a bit of money into, lies Conductorâs desk, the owl in question sitting at it. Stacks of papers, trinkets, collectibles, even a miniature model train cluttered the desk. Seems he expected letters and such, but the direct entry didnât seem to disturb him at all. He even seemed to enjoy seeing someone besides the Express Owls or his rival.*]
[*He perks up at the question, obviously hitting one of his interests. The sound of his custom train-themed fountain pen (seems he likes spending money on little decorate things) (me too I canât be talking) pauses as he sets it down, turning his focus to the teen.*]
Ahah! Iâm glad to see someone else has an eye fer movies! And Iâm flattered yer a fan, even if my movies arenât your kind of movies, at least you see the quality and vision.
(Oh boy I havenât watched movies in a while time to dig through my brain AUGH)
Letâs see⊠Iâve seen quite a few movies in my time, but some of my favorite would have to beâŠ.
Graham Rolandâs âDark Windsâ (Itâs a series, but a production nonetheless!), and the classic of George Roy Hillâs âButch Cassidy and The Sundance Kidâ are some I can think off the top of my head.
RenĂ© Clairâs adaptation of âAnd Then There Were Noneâ is also fantastic!
But if course, my tippy top number-one spot fer movies has to go to the one that inspired me to start my entire movie carrier! That being Perseus and The Puffinâs âMystery of The Ostrich Partyâ! Apparently that same movie also inspired DJ Grooves⊠Maybe he isnât a complete dunderhead after allâŠ.
âIâll take like five minutes to answer thisâ my ass Iâm so sorry it took this long I havenât watched a movie in like two years
also had me thinking about a lot of things. First off, I have never seen anyone use the âask boxâ as a physical place, I like it, that was kinda cool ngl
and then I had to actually make at least a bit of a character around the director both Conductor and DJ Grooves were inspired by (as seen in their rift storybook). Conductor was inspired by the mystery aspect of the film, while DJ Grooves really liked the effects, the colors, the lights, he liked the visual display of it all. anyways I really liked answering this ask even if it made my brain hurt for a hot second but yeah
as you can tell I like describing things LMAO
âOh boy my first ask in an actual while that I wasnât putting off I wonder what it i-â
the wall of text I see in the corner of my eye:
This is silly btw anon if youâre seeing this it might just take me like five minutes to answer I havenât read it yet but I swear yâall just send pipebombs of asks to me and I LOVE IT I LOVE BIG ASKS THEY SCARE ME BUT I LIKE THEM
