Worthless Hipster Trash
Flower crowns: decorative pieces, either for wearing like a hat, or simply aesthetic purposes, typically made of fake flowers that have been hot-glued onto a circular piece of wire, wrapped in floral tape. Sometimes they have leaves, also normally fake. Every flower crown is unique, they are all beautiful and individual. They are all special snowflakes, and special snowflakes are a joke. Special snowflakes are fake, they’re annoying, they’re worthless. The people that wear these flower crowns are the real special snowflakes here.
I often don’t feel incredibly attractive. I don’t feel pretty, or cute. I don’t feel one of a kind. I feel mundane. My face feels very humdrum. Flower crowns make me feel slightly less plain, though. They make me feel like I could belong in a fantasy story, and I know I’m not the only one. I love the way I feel and look when I wear flower crowns, but I’ve seen such negative comments about them.
Half the internet seems to hate people who wear flower crowns, because they seem to think that flower crown wearers are going to force happiness and rainbows down everyone's’ throats, but more often than not, flower crown wearers are just enjoying some pretty flowers. They’re just trying to be happy themselves, not force other people to change their emotions.
Flower crowns are just pretty. They make people feel pretty, or they make a room or display pretty. They come in all different kinds and with different kinds of flowers, like people. They’re simple. They’re just pretty. The purpose of a flower crown is to look nice, but more than that, to make their wearer feel exceptional, extraordinary. Not better than everyone else, but as much as everyone that they compare themselves to, and when they’re told that they’re hipster trash because they wore some pretty flowers, the flower crowns are not allowed to do their job quite as well. The point of a flower crown is to make the wearer feel special.
Not to make them feel like a special snowflake, but to make them feel special, amazing, beautiful, wonderful, perfect, magnificent. To make them feel like the beauty that they aspire to. The point of a flower crown is to make the person wearing it feel like a worthy person, and if that means feeling unique and different from all their friends, then that’s what it means. So long as this flower crown wearer isn’t expecting to be treated better than anyone else, there is nothing wrong with being a special snowflake. There is nothing wrong with being worthless hipster trash.
