Completed star shawl, made with Sultan Deluxe yarn from Hobbii. I really love how the beaded tassels really make the rest of the textured design of this shawl *pop*.

It’s all done!!

The backstitching is very subtle, but it definitely brings more dimension to the piece.

I’ve washed it, ironed it, and sent it off to the framers. I went with a simple golden frame so as to not take away from the crazy colours too much but also keep it light and bright.

The plan is to gift it to my mum who introduced me to the hobby as a Christmas gift. I just hope it will fit in my suitcase.

I will post a photo of it once it’s back from framing, but in the meantime, I’m moving on with the next project.

Massacre

A dusty, violent thing. They care little for worldly happenings and are content to brawl, break, and remake themselves in their vision.

Their heads endure an eternal, Ouroboros-like cycle. One of the heads is the primary decision-maker. The lesser head starts off as a primitive being but grows to develop higher processes--and a need to dominate. What was once the lesser head devours the older one, which eventually regrows into another primitive head.
