I think after all these years, I don't know how much I like the whole proxy idea for Tim and Brian. Its not because of the mischaracterization of the two or the whole creepypasta family deal (okay well mostly not that) but having the Operator be this sort of puppet master doesn't really make sense in the course of the series
Each member is acting purely in self interest really. And the Operator? He is a virus, a force of nature just attached to everyone because of the events that unfolded. The Operator's goals really aren't even stated to the audience, he just IS. And like a virus it comes to question if he is even "alive"
The tothearc boys to my knowledge, just were basically planning on killing alex to return to slightly more normal living
Alex after dealing with the Operator sickness in isolation was just trying to stop it by destroying what he thought was the source
And Jay, ...well he was just unlucky enough to be curious about an old school project
Like up until the comics, I've always felt separating hoody and masky from their unmasked counterparts, discredits the effort they went through
But I'm just rambling about a superbly old webseries that i didn't experience while it was running
