A little snippet of Big Girls!!!!! Love this dance so much 💕💕💕💕
Cate
Cate is 5 years old. She dances at Glamorous Productions in NC. She started dancing at the age of 2. This is her first year of competitive dance. Cate competed with a lyrical solo this year and loves it the most! She loves doing splits and leg extensions! I also love to do my splits too!! Her favorite competition this year was Showstopper because she said they had the prettiest trophies! Next year she says she wants to do a jazz solo. Her favorite costume this year was her solo outfit because it had feathers. The reason she loves her studio and dancing with her friends! I also love that about my dance family too!
This is Cate's favorite costume. She likes it because it has feather on them.
Davianna Aleana
Coming up next is Miss Davianna. She’s 9 years old. She dances at DDPAC. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old. Davianna started competing when she was 4 years old. Her favorite style of dance is Hip Hop. Yes, Me too say it again for all the people in the back!!! Funny I actually have Hip-Hop tonight. But, her acro skills are like “To infinity and beyond” :) She loves to do the illustration in Jazz and the Floss in Hip Hop. Her favorite competition is Celebrity (Me too I went there this year to. It was Oklahoma City, Oklahoma). She says it’s because the competition makes you feel like you are a real celebrity. (That’s what I love about Celebrity too! Davianna wants to do another open solo with either a jazz/hiphop style. She likes doing that style because she loves doing her tricks. Her favorite costume was her “Scary Spice” costume from her spice girls dance she did.The reason she loves her studio is because they’re aren’t about winning they are about their dancers being able to grow as dancers. My studio I dance at has the same morals as well. My director has told me this since I started competing when I was 5 years old. “It’s okay to win something huge time to time, but it’s okay if you don’t win that doesn’t technically mean you’re not a bad dancer”. Every dancer has their strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and sometime bad performances but that does not mean your not a great dancer. I’ve heard this over and over all the time it really took my own awareness to realize this. It really isn’t about winning all the time just because you don’t get that double or triple platinum does not mean your are not a great dancer this supposed to help us grow and show off what we can do! Back, to Davianna now her dance family there is just like her second family. Her and her mother both love that there is no pressure from the studio at all. But, Davianna tends to put a lot of pressure on herself. Trust me Davianna I being doing this now for 12 years. Putting all that stress and pressure on yourself later on in life with interrupt with you growing as a dancer because you put limitations on yourself. I’’m 17 now and what I tell people is that it doesn’t matter if you win or don’t win, You could still be recognized for something the person who won everything didn’t do like you did. Keep It Up! You’ll do awesome things I’m sure of it.
This Davianna's favorite costume currently! Cute! I love the hair!!!
Addison Bostrom
Our next profile is on Addison B. She’s 7 years old. She dances at Dance Deluxe. She’s starting to finish up her 4th season of dancing and competing for 3 of those years. Her favorite dance style is jazz. Addison’s favorite dance move to do is her aerial because she just learned how to do it. She also likes doing her scorpion because it shows her flexibility. Addison says that she hopes to have a jazz or lyrical solo. Her favorite dance costume is her solo costume “Rockette” because it was made for specially for her. That’s awesome I wish our studio would do custom costumes. That’s why I decided how to make them myself. So, when I’m a senior next year I won’t technically have to leave the studio. Hey, Kudos to you girlie for getting that aerial. I’m still trying to get mine then again I am 17 years old its a little harder but hopefully I get it before I graduate next year. Because most of my friends have their aerials but I don’t. I also want to learn how to do chin stands too!!! Good Luck On Your Dance Journey!! Remember never tell yourself that you can’t because I know you can and will.
This is her solo costume “Rockette”. That she absolutely loves because it was custom made to her!

Maysa Ray Smith ~ Covergirl
Maysa Ray Smith
I'm back... This profile is on Miss Maysa. She is five years old. She does gymnastics & dance. She dances at Becky Nalevanko's Dance Studio. Maysa has been dancing since she was 2 years old. The dance style she likes the most is ballet. Arabesque is her favorite dance move to execute. Maysa's favorite competition to go to is Hall of Fame Dance Challenge. She would like to do a ballet solo in the future. Her favorite costume would be from her solo "Covergirl". I love that song so much that it's on my playlist for driving to school. The best thing Maysa loves about her studio is that her grandmother actually owns it.
This is her solo costume Covergirl. She looks so good in this costume. I love the hair piece and the little anklets too❤️❤️❤️.
