Thanks to everyone who came by in support of the signing at Four Color Fantasies this past Saturday. The turnout was way more than I expected and the signing stretched to over ten hours without a break. One family drove all the way from Texas to Virginia (!). I had a terrific time even though my old man back and hand still aren't feeling all that great. I signed my first skull (!). Thanks to everyone who picked up a copy of the Beasts of Burden Omnibus, and everyone who said they'd already preorderd the Nerd Inferno Omnibus. All appreciated. And thanks to Erik and company at Four Color Fantasies in Winchester, VA, a swell shop. We're talking about doing it again before too long.

Just a few of the many graphic novel projects I've been privileged to work on with a wide variety of creators and publishers.
Please ask for them at your local comic shop or bookstore!
From Neil Gaiman's SANDMAN, to Stan Lee's autobiography, to Warren Ellis's ORBITER, and even THE VAMPIRE DIARIES with over 300 pages of art and story, your comic shop or local bookstore can order graphic novels which feature works by me to read or share.
My own epic space opera A DISTANT SOIL, the graphic novel GONE TO AMERIKAY based on a song by the Pogues, works adapted from songs by Tori Amos and The Doors, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, LUCIFER and many others.
Support your local bookstore this holiday season! Thank you!
NGL I kinda hate when American comic book fans in large populated areas will be like "pirating is bad you should always buy the new issue at release!"
My nearest comic shops are 2 hour away and it's $12-14 an issue... also does not sell any comice that aren't brand new or volumes or super famous comics like under the red hood. The only possible way I could get the entire supersons run was to spend $220 on the omnibus. (Which don't get me wrong I adore it.) But please PLEASE can American fans in large populated areas stop saying- it's so easy and cheap to buy the issues. Because no no it's not.. I also really want the supersons christmas issue but it's $30 alone ans would have to order it from overseas costing me $30- 50 in shipping. I can't afford a $80-90 comic issue.
My recommendation though because I do definitely think if you can support comics
1- if you're in countries that host it. DC infinite. When I was reading alot of comics I paid $10 a month and it was all of DC comics (Minus the ones from the last 6 months. You can pay a premium subscription for like 120 or something for that)
2- I always buy volumes. So while I read all of batman and robin online when it came out I was able to drop into my local comic shop and buy the volume
3- preorder stories you do like. Example- I knew boy wonder was very difficult to get like it was sold out by the day so no way I could get it. So I ordered all the issues and I think 2 months later I was back near my comic shop and was able to pick them up
The point is please support your comic shops if you can but people that are lucky to live near easy accessible comics please stop saying "you're why the comic industry is failing" like no we don't have a choice
