HIS  HEAD  CANTS  TOWARDS  HER  SOFT  HAND  ,  a  quiet  little  hum  escaping  him  as  warm  brown  eyes  close.            she  noticed  his  pensiveness  -----  SHE  ALWAYS  DID.         as  they  sat  there  in  the  cafeteria  ,  idly  pushing  around  human  food  ,   he  was  losing  his  mind  over  just  how  THIRSTY  he  actually  was.         edward  was  eyeing  him  &&  he  knows  alice  is  watching  his  future  for  any  sign  that  he’s  going  to  decide  to  slaughter  the  student  body  ------------------------ but  then  her  hand  is  on  his  cheek  ,  granting  him  a  distraction  from  the  world.           ❛    SEE  SOMETHIN’  ?   ❜          he  murmurs  ,  quiet  &  just  for  her.     

❝  i  believe  they   call  it  manners  .     ❞   reuven  tosses  back  ,  his  expression  flat lined.    besides  if  he  was  at  this  party  anyways  ,  what  was  there  to  lose  .  the  clap  on  the  back  startled  him  ,   hand  grips  the  glass  firmly  &  his  brows  furrow.   he  scoffs.   ❝    i  was  doing  nothing  of  the  sort  .    ❞    that  is  not  how  he  would   do  it   if  he  was  going  to.  or   was  it  simply   a   question   of   when ?     leave  it  to  leonard  to  sneak  in  a  flask.   he  takes  another  sip  of  his  martini  eyeing  him .  ❝  lead  the   way    ❞    the  biologist  had  tomorrow  off  ,  so  really his  care  about  morals  &  ethics ,  were  being  thrown  into  the  wind.    he  notes  the  decor  lining  the  hallways  as  he  follows  leonard  ,   he  really  didn’t  understand  the  fascination  with  all  hallows  eve.  waste   he  rolls  his   eyes  giving  leonard  another  look.   ❝   you  and  only  you  seem  to  be  in  a  rather  giant  hurry  to  plan  your  own  funeral  .   ❞      getting   purposely  wasted  ,  another  thing  reuven  doesn’t  understand.       ❝   another  colloquialism  ?   that  is  a  suit  leonard  .  you  seem  to  forget  i  am  wearing  one  as  well  .     ❞   he  steps  in front  of  him  chugging  down  the  rest  of  his  glass,  not  entirely  sure  what  possessed  him  to  do  so.   he  can  already  feel  the  buzz  coming  on.     hes   never  been  sure  why  chocolate  of  all  things  made  him  make  ridiculous  decisions.    ❝   show  me  this  garden  .   ❞

At this point it felt like the longer she went, the more she risked being found out, maybe killed, before telling Fitz and that just couldn’t happen. He deserved to know when she could still answer questions. If he wasn’t too horrified to ask. “I need to tell you something.” No warning before that, just the shake of her voice, the even more noticeable tremor of her hands, and veil of tears in her eyes making clear it was something big. Something bad. “Something I never told you. Because I was ashamed and wanted to fix it. But I can’t. And once you know, my life will be in your hands.”
