12212022 coluboccoro // 2019 // kenji studio pleasantly surprising to say the least!! from the little information i could glean about this it seems like it is also connected to another kenji studio production called santa company, but i could be completely wrong. to my understanding this is relatively obscure, especially outside of japan, and beyond the 29 minute runtime not much supplemental story exists (at least that i could find) which is a shame because i actually found myself pretty invested. lately i've just been all about the idea of place and role, and paired with some eco-friendly, anti-tradition sentiment i feel like you can't go too wrong. definitely simple and not very fleshed out, but there's clear heart here and i admire that.

KENJI STUDIO, director Kenji Itoso's studio, released a three-minute, English-subtitled clip from its short anime film Coluboccoro on Monday to celebrate the success of its Kickstarter campaign to release the film on Blu-ray and DVD with English subtitles.

It looks pretty sweet and Awesome Japan has already proven they can deliver with Sana Company, so this should be good.
