A wild third chapter appears! I’m not sure when I’ll be able to write another one (I need to finish the first arc of Scottish AU first...) but this doesn’t end on a cliffhanger so hopefully it provides a nice temporary end point.

Yay Day 5! Today I gift you all with what is undoubtedly my most horrifying and depraved fic (or rather, the first 2 chapters of it for now) which really should never have been allowed to see the light of day. Be warned, it includes extreme fetishes such as Hayden, elements of body horror, and non-consensual sex acts. Read the tags and warnings before embarking. Hopefully the sweet bits with Selene/Helios can provide some solace and get you brave souls through the worst of it. 

NOTE THIS IS A WIP — I’ve only got the first two chapters (of six planned) finished in time for posting today. The others will be along once I’ve finished writing them, hopefully soon. So sadly, no actual Colterons appear yet in the story, but I think it stops at a nice logical end point without a cliffhanger if you’re inclined to start reading now. It does mean that the only pairing to show up thus far really is Hayden/Helios, though Selene is in there briefly. 

Now that Starfighter Secret Santa is over, I can happily post this fun discovery I made. Comparing the way I filled out my forms for the exchange in 2017 when I’d just joined the fandom and started writing again not two or three months before to the way I filled them out in 2018 made me laugh.

Deep space travel would not have been achieved without the successful decoding of Colteron tech.“

The Colterons don’t actually think they own Mars; the reason they said it was “holy ground” is that they think planets were created the way they were as part of a divine purpose, and that all ground is therefore holy (the more secular among them usually agree, but phrase it more as preserving galactic ecosystems). They regard terraforming as the ultimate blasphemy, and think humans are horrific despoilers who are out of control and need to be stopped.

Colteron teenagers lecturing each other about how human positivity posts are all very well and good but it's stupid to say humans are just plateless alien puppies who would never hurt anyone, and we need to keep in mind that even a human warning shot can sever a person's limb?
