✨COLOSSALCON ARTIST ALLEY✨

- Santa with Thanos’ gauntlet and everyone chanting “SanTA SanTA” when I was walking from the draw meet to the rave

- the Great Homestuck migration through heavy con traffic in a long line from the impromptu waiting spot to another site entirely for the photoshoot since it rained us out of the assigned place

- my friend using one of their Davesprite wings as a flag to scurry back through the crowd to find detached groups of homestucks to the new site at the absolute last second

- that one very well behaved dog at the rave

- the draw meet was cool beans

- the dude who’d been checking badges inside appearing outside during the homestuck rain moved photoshoot, standing on a rock in the rain and kinda dancing while vaping, wearing a princess daisy outfit

- the girl who i can only assume was extremely drunk shouting and sounding precisely like Louise Belcher asking if anyone wanted their back cracked

- other people who i assume were fairly hammered who were Ridiculously Hype about the timeturners on my wheelchair wheels

- the obscene amount of stealth homestucks who recognized me and all my friends and complimented us and asked for pictures or told us who they used to cosplay and for how long.

- the surprise employee at the great wolf lodge who asked for a picture and told us about how she was a gamzee cosplayer before, or planned to be, I’m having trouble remembering now.

- random spiderman going around with Sunflower playing.

- spotting the same handful of people multiple times in one day and doing the lil :D wave instinctively, then recognizing each other the next day as well when in different costumes. the :D wave continues.

- other random spiderman trying to help fan me and cool me off... with a plushie and then going on a comedic tangent about all the people in his life he’d failed as well as they left.

- the general haggard appearance of people coming out of the last day waiting on the curb with their luggage loaded down with booze bottles and the appearance of someone who just stepped out of war in their eyes but team skull and sailor scouts appearances on their faces and clothes.

- the look on the tiny kids faces when they and their family got to pose with a gigantic lego batman.

- the mutual feeling everyone stuck behind the slow walking Baymax cosplayer had of being trapped in traffic behind a slow moving truck as foot traffic piled up

- that homestuck in the flea market who offered my friend a fem!eridan cosplay for a whole dollar

- the dude who came by the photoshoot asking what anime everyone was from, and getting a fully detailed accurate answer. turns out he legit wanted to know what homestuck was and was not making a “homestuck is my favorite anime” joke or being a dick about it not being an anime. I WAS THROWN FOR A FUCKING LOOP, I DID NOT EXPECT THAT.

- hearing someone say “Homestuck was bad, but Attack on Titan was the worst of the worst” argue with someone saying BNHA was worse than Homestuck, and realizing that unsealed grey paint wasn’t mentioned once. the time has cleansed some memories, it seems. bless.

- full squads in full ahegao gear from tip to toe including their bags.

- people trading talk about which garbage cans they’d gotten sick in in previous years as if they were talking about the weather.
