Aggh I'm losing my mind about a color in the shit and fart show UUAAGGHH
So. Blue chairs. A blue chair for each of them. I don't remember them being used before but I could be wrong about that.
I have noticed a consistent and seemingly deliberate use of blue behind Guillermo and behind the vampires when Guillermo is finally getting to them as a member of their family in some way. I could be a complete idiot here, but I think that this to emphasize how deep and meaningful these strides to be a part of the household are being made throughout each season. Blue is a great foil to the blood vampire red we see with the others, and I also think that while gold is often seen in this show, it is a color meant to reflect the vampires mostly, and we're about to see more silver to contrast that on Guillermos end. Alternatively, we could see him adopt more gold, taking the secondary color of the other vampires and keeping the primary color of his own. I think with all this in mind, it's safe to say blue can also symbolize Guillermos Van Helsing side. Either way, I would like to show my humble examples that I feel are meant to be highlighted by this use of color to give more indication of what's going on in the characters minds. Look man, I know I have a severe obsession, at least I'm not doing crack?? Yet??
Look I know some of these are not as strong of a blue tone as others but GIRL IT IS THERE. The one with Nandor in the basement is interesting because the extremely (like it's possible I could be wrong here but this seems like a blue base white light) subtle blue tint is when he's "totally okay" with Guillermo not showing jealousy that so many of us have suspected he wanted Guillermo to show.
So uh. The chair thing.
I consider the blue chairs to be significant in this case and really hitting home that this is HIS color. He not only just had his big moment, but he's made huge strides with Nadja as she seems to accept that they are family. Of course to reflect that she has a blue chair, in what is GUILLERMOS FIRST TALKING HEAD WITH A VAMPIRE, at least one where he is given dignity and visual equality. I think we may see this blue chair later, too! Because this is a landmark moment! You can't go back from where things have gone this season. At least, not regarding these relationship strides and character development. Of course some big drama might make me eat my words lol, but I would hope the writers didn't just do all this shit just to throw it away.
I'm hitting the image limit but I have more!! I'm being weird right now I know but I think shit like this is deliberately being done to subconsciously guide us to conclusions! Now to figure out what those conclusions are....
