Robron really are the new Coira: a farmer and a mechanic/head of the Dingle clan living on the farm, trying to make ends meet.
Oh, and raising their million kids (Seb, new baby...and surely there'll be some strays to take in...)
I love it.

Major spoiler … rant below…
and then let the consequences of that conclusion lead into another story they add on entirely new storylines that drag out the original story until it becomes something else entirely
Then there's Cain who appears to be a part of every major storyline right now while others get crumbs. In theory, it might be nice if storylines worked this way where characters who are related to each other interacted because something is happening in their lives. But you run the risk of overexposure. He's got his own story but gets to be part of another's that end up revolving around him instead. Why?
In theory I can more than understand and even see the appeal of tighter individual character focus. Done properly it would very likely be a benefit to the show. It's not being done properly though, so instead of being an asset to the show it's actively hurting it. Problem one is the characters they're choosing to focus on. Spending 4 and a half solid months on Paddy and Bear was an abysmal choice. Paddy is not a broad appeal character. He is a niche character. He has some worth (though I struggle to see much myself), and he and Mandy can be cute in small doses. But using him 5 days a week for months on end while actively writing him as a jerk was a wild miscalculation. The audience didn't grow and it started turning off the audience they already had.
There were lots of complaints and instead of listening to what in most cases were valid criticisms they doubled down. And now they've shifted that tighter focus towards two characters who very much were broad appeal characters and instead of leaning into thier appeal they turned Cain into a never ending man tantrum and Moira into a stepford mafia wife. None of their individual or couple appeal is anywhere to be found in this storyline. They are genuinely dumbfounding writing choices. And I understand that non Robron people get tired of people talking about Robron but it is a fact that they are the main driving force behind the shows online engagement. And while they were getting actual story focus the shows ratings were up and in some cases up considerably. Antis can get pissy and try and make excuses as to why that's coincidental but they were absolutely a big factor in the ratings increase. The show had genuine momentum and the show halted all of it to spend unending months on Paddy, Bear, Cain and Moira.
It is fine to have tighter focus but it needs to be the right characters and the right kind of story focus. It also cannot come at the expense of every other character. That is what the show is doing wrong. They are focusing on the wrong things and they're doing it at the expense of every other character.

well. at least we got cows!
(the episode was....fine. but robron not being allowed to hug/kiss is starting to feel a little homophobic tbh).
i figured cain would understand after robert told him about vic. glad that bore out.

Definitely agree about Cain and Moira, I would put money on her either cheating on Cain with Caleb or that if Sadie comes back she will have a grown up child that is Cain's and that will put massive strain on Coira's relationship. The fact that both Jeff and Natalie have mentioned several times in interviews how much Moira loves sex definitely makes me 👀. Their relationship now is kind of a car crash really.
The amount of times they have cheated on each other is ridiculous right now. None of the other couples on the show have cheated on each other that many times. I know cheating is part of a soap but there comes a time when enough is enough.
Anyone else think, Cain might ... die? And it's all leading there?
And I’m certain if Cain does choose charity in the baby mess like Jeff has hinted at will cause issues with Cain and Moira too. As Moira will obviously choose her brother.
Yep, I can see that happening. It will be Drama City for Coira because it is Coiradale right now.
The show have decided that the drama facing Coira is their relationship
Moira having a pep in her step because she has a revenge plan for Joe and being turned on that her husband, who’s ill and weak after surgery, beat someone up is concerning. Focus on getting him well, taking care of your children, getting your new farm up and started. They both need to reprioritize.
Totally, Anon. There's nothing else to say.
