ignore that ive missed days and am cherry picking days to do shh. buckle up for a hella long post
day 3 - how does your culture influence your identity if at all?
so!! i am southern USAmerican (texan to be specific) which i feel has definitely impacted my identity. religion, mainly christian/catholic denominations, are incredibly large here; like down the road is a church and when driving through different cities and towns you can pass like 10 different churches (slight exaggeration). this, along with my own personal history with religion, has me gravitate to like.. southern gothic aesthetics and religious themes in certain ways. honestly i think this has also impacted my nonhumanity alongside my source but i'm not gonna get into all that rn heheh. i've also found that the more reconnection i do to my tribe the more it influences me. i intend on growing my hair out due to it!
day 5 - how do you express your identity? whats your ideal expression/presentatoin?
i wear a lot of baggy/oversized clothes, i am NOT a fan of tight clothing at all. when i'm not at work i wear a lot of band tees (mainly ghost, i fear like 90% of my shirts are all ghost metch.) which definitely helps me with presenting in an emonsicine [link] way. i gravitate to darker clothes as well. i think ideal expression or presentation would be a mix of the aforementioned emonsicine presentation but also generally a much more alternative or gothic look. something that also toes the line of human and nonhuman.. it is kinda hard to explain.
day 8 - are you a hoarder? how does this affect your MOGAI identity? if you collect terms, how do you organize them?
i am! i mostly keep my term collection organized on a side blog dedicated to hoarding as opposed to doing it on a completely separate site just because it's easier for me to do. i think it impacts my mogai identity a lot but it is so hard to explain or put into words.
day 9 - are you intersex or questioning? how has it affected your identity?
i'm intersex, which has definitely affected my relationship with my gender and presentations. i simultaneously feel i am both binary genders but also completely separated from the binary as a whole due to my experience with them. i'm intersex, which has definitely affected my relationship with my gender and presentations. i simultaneously feel i am both binary genders but also completely separated from the binary as a whole due to my experience with them.
