Apparently a phone call from school interrupting his fatherās council meeting was not welcomed. Of course the call hadnāt gone straight to his father, Ignis was left the task of informing the king that his son had been suspended from school. It wasnāt like Noctis bothered going anyway. More often than not, heād blow it off to go to the arcade, much unlike his older brother who had always been the perfect student.
With his attendance paired with the fight heād just taken part in, the school decided there was only so much leeway that could be given, even to a Prince and heād long since crossed the line. The Prince didnāt seem bothered. It was his last year of highschool anyway so he didnāt see it as a big deal. Heād just take the exams privately and be done with it all.
After having his injuries taken care of - a few minor cuts and bruises - he had been called into Principalās office where he was to wait for a very angry King to pick him up. His old man didnāt even wait until they got home before chewing his ear off and if he hadnāt been so annoyed himself, he might have felt bad when he caught sight of the disappointment in his fatherās eyes.
He had been sent to his room while his father decided on a punishment for the Princeās recent attitude and behaviour. His father had always had a weak spot with his children so Noctis figured heād get away with a simple grounding but that wasnāt the case.
After hours on edge, his father finally called for him with his decision.
He was sending him awayā¦
It wasnāt permanent of course, but it still stung. It seemed the King was at his wits end when it came to dealing with his wayward son, so he decided to send him to stay with someone who could better discipline him by putting him through the same training a Crownsguard recruit went through.
Of course his father wouldnāt send him off with some stranger. Cor was well trusted and would take good care of his charge. Cor was much sterner than his dad though. He doubted the man would let him get away with quite as much as he was used to.
Dressed in a pair of black jeans, a black t-shirt and a jacket, the Prince stood awkwardly outside Corās door. With a scowl on his face, he knocked on the door. Having more than likely already been briefed by his King, Cor was expecting him.
Well, heād been expecting him twenty minutes ago, but in the foul mood that he was, Noctis had taken his sweet time.
