Towards the beginning of this blog I made a post about Epileptic!Soap.

In regards to Epilepsy Awareness Month I have now written a piece that you can find over on my Ao3.

Gaz sits down on his bed, taking off his hat and runs a hand through his hair. A concerned frown on his forehead. Soap closes his eyes, exhales a long breath. This is what he didn't want, what he avoided like the plaque. He didn't want his family friends concerned. And yet, here he was, stupidly ruining it.

Visit Notes: Mr. MacTavish was hesitant to attend his appointment this afternoon and repeatedly asked for sedatives or alcoholic beverages in order to, quote, "cope". I informed Mr. MacTavish that sedation was not required and further illustrated the detrimental effects of alcohol on the body and brain, especially given his role in dealing with explosives and heavy machinery. Mr. MacTavish tried several excuses to leave the appointment, all of which could easily be proven false.

Given the gap between Mr. MacTavish's medical examinations, I've ordered blood work and a urine specimen lab. Despite a perfectly average blood pressure reading, I believe Mr. MacTavish may have high sodium levels given the amount of salted snacks I've personally witnessed him consuming. He agreed to the lab work, albeit with more hesitation. I have assured him several times that I have ample training in phlebotomy, but this did not seem to boost his confidence.

For his personal history questionnaire, Mr. MacTavish has family history of hypertension on his mother's side and heart disease on his father's side. His surgical history is noted in the attached file. He described his sexual activity as, "constant" and "mindblowing", to which I replied that I simply needed to know if he was sexually active and if he had several partners. He replied, after some goading, that he only had one partner as of the current date. He appeared distressed while I explained to him the importance of safe sexual activity and the potential risks of fluid exchange. After the explanation, he pleaded, quote, "Please never say any of those words to me, in that order, ever again." I told him that I trusted that, as a healthy adult, he would make good choices.

Language Person Ghost, who learnt various languages to teach Tommy so they could talk without their father really knowing about it.

Language Person Ghost, who knows Polish, (Brazilian) Portuguese, basics in Italian, Japanese, German and basics in Hindi (besides English, of course). He grows attached to Polish the most as it was Tommy's favourite.

Language Person Ghost, who forgets words in his native language and goes through every other to find the right term.

Language Person Ghost, who questions if words or phrases from one language are the same in his native language and gets mad when they're not.

Language Person Ghost, who speaks German on the rare times they meet König and helps translate something to a Brazilian Captain they have to work with once (Soap short-circuits a bit both times).

Language Person Ghost, who travels while on leave rather than staying in one place (and asks Johnny to accompany him sometimes).

Language Person Ghost, who slips little quotes into Johnny's pockets when he has to go on solo missions because those three words never came easy to him.

Science Person Soap, who got it from his mum.

Science Person Soap, who gave his dad a couple of grey hairs when he accidentally set fire to the barn on his grandmother's property with his sister in it. (Nobody was harmed, but the scare shook everyone in the family.)

Science Person Soap, who gifted his family customised fireworks before joining the army (they aren't sure how legal they actually were to this day).

Science Person Soap, who laughed along with his teacher when the latter set fire to the desk during a demonstration.

Science Person Soap, who got into demolitions because it got him as close to legally blow up shit as he could think of.

Placid silence was Soap’s companion. He had grown to rue the absence of any kind of information, any scrap of ambient noise to determine what was going on outside of the four walls he was stuck in. Getting captured had two outcomes. Either you had a short wait, or you lingered.
