I have known you can ship chicks safely through the mail (if done right), but always went in person to pick them up because mailing chicks made me nervous. Corona restrictions made that a no-go, so we got these chicks in the mail today. Everyone made it fine :)
They are Blue Cochin Bantams. We ordered 12 in hope of ending up with 4 to 6 hens.

Today I helped find new homes for these three boys! They were brought to me by someone that couldn't keep them anymore, and their colors (at least the red and the cuckoo ones) are so unusual in our area that they got a second chance with a nearby farm! Many roosters are not so lucky, so I'm especially pleased these sweet boys were! They were so chill, they didn't freak out at all to be picked up and when set in front of the carrier to go, they just walked in! I really hope that they do well!
