I like this theme, I feel it’s very inspired by all the new vocaloid songs about sweets, as well as being bright, bubbly and American Diner-y (mesmerizer influence?). I love food Mikus, especially sweet ones a lot! It’s interesting for a concert too, I don’t think we’ve had something like this before. I wonder if there’s anything to say about the American concert being food and sweets themed… hmmm… lol. They’ve got to think of specific themes nowadays I feel. I like this design, though I wish they leaned into the diner idea more, when I saw this I assumed the theme was something like a kids birthday party lol. I suppose it is reflected through her 01 name tag thing, an adorable detail. Colours also remind me of Retry now, once again.

I have to note that it’s strange compared to the Europe leg’s “steampunk” theme, which feels way more broad and experimental than this, than any miku concert before. Her design looks like it could be a Mirai Miku to me! Even stranger considering I’m pretty sure the American tour is much longer! But I’m not complaining, I mean, I’m going the the Europe tour after all~

What I’m most interested in discussing is the way this’ll affect the concert! Starting with the most pressing question with the most obvious answer - no, I do not think she’ll wear this outfit. If she will it’d be during CONNECT:COMMUNE, who I think should get her own outfit, and it’s probably going to continue as the theme in the Europe tour, meaning we won’t get that beautiful steampunk miku modelled live either :( but I’ll go into what songs she could wear this outfit for, hypothetically speaking but also because I like thinking about the best possible outcomes in miku concerts that they will never give us :)))) later in this post tho

So what references can they have in the concert itself? I feel like the intro and band member introduction need to stay the same visually and musically for the Europe tour, and the same probably goes for the animations of the characters coming in and out, but a Miku fan can dream. The intro animation to amazing dolce is probably the best demonstration for what it could be, I’m not creative enough to explain or think of anything new- uh

But! They can and do change the songs performed! Beyond that, this is the first leg of this tour so the setlist will be pretty new and original!

Starting with Amazing dolce! Fits the theme, and everyone loves Meiko ♥️ it’d mean theyd have to give kaito and luka some extra rep too though, kaito could easily do cendrillion 10th anni as well (The mm21 equivalent to amazing dolce too) since I bet lots of people overseas are waiting to hear that classic. Maybe another luka song with miku too?

And then, perhaps most obviously, drop pop candy! BAFFLES me that this one hasn’t already performed at miku expo, I feel like it’s extremely popular overseas. I think this one is the most likely!!!

There’s also Dreamin’ Chuchu! But I think that’s been performed at Miku expo before, and maybe we’d prefer newer luka songs, but I’m not sure if theyve done specifically the version (requires an elongated screen I think?) with miku and rin! Wow, we could be getting a lot of rin time in this concert~ 🧡

(I don’t think either of these would be used as solo representation for the Meiko or Luka btw, gotta clarify that!)

Speaking of which, here’s what I think the most theme-fitting solo song for everyone would be! Ignoring the fact that I have MASSIVELY high hopes/EXPECTATIONS they’ll do Karma and Ego rock at this expo, finally.

Rin would obviously have to have sweet magic! It was in Europe 2020 and maybe it should have been okayed at America that year, but I’ll be surprised if they havent already heard it. For something new on the contrary, I think TELL ME ANSWER could work, it mentions chocolate in the lyrics ig. Also it’s the parallel to telecaster b boy, which has been in expos, and it will probably get an updated performance with the new model just like its 21 counterpart lol.

Len himself? I think he should do Lavie! It’s pink, and I’m pretty sure it has lines about candy, mostly that “yummy! yummy! yummy”. It’s a sort of equivalent to the other Threee songs, he gets speakers too, so it could be a crowd pleaser. Rin gets speakers in Europe 24 so Len could get speakers in America 26!

The rest are a bit more difficult. Meiko could have Ramune blue longing since maybe you’d find ramune in a candy shop, but it’s a bit too summery for this expo, maybe change me because it’s got a candy-like checkerboard pattern? Though I’m sure America has had that before. Kaito could do Attakaito since it mentions his beloved ice cream, but I’m sure that’s been to America before (like remade blue longing, attakaito was in Europe 20 so maybe they planned to do it in America) so maybe FLASH since it’s got a similar vibe. I bet the nyanyanya songs these two have would probably fit the theme too, tho it isn’t likely theyll do bibliotheca again, the doctor funk beat with Len and Meiko would be good if they did the similar 19 version of dreamin’ chuchu. I feel like any of Luka’s pop songs would work (I bet America really wants the night fever again, but I’m also thinking just be friends), apart from MAGA MAGA for obvious reasons 😬. Interviewer deserves to go around the world, especially with the cool live arrangement it has, and it fits this theme to me with “Suki na tabemono wa nandesu ka?” Hehe. For these three, I feel like there’s older songs that fit way more that I’m forgetting :(…

With duets, Childish War has a dinner/banquet theme with knives and forks, but I don’t think they’ll do it again. Midnight Surf has a Midnight feat feeling, like a light night snack, I’d like to see it in America. Also,…. Is this a good place to mention mezzy…. or a shock horror candy cookie chocolate surprise…… sorry

As for Miku, I feel there should definitely be raspberry monster, Darling Dance and sweet devil, all candy-pink, plausible since theyve been in recent-ish setlists (expo 20, expo 25 and LAWSON. I hope we get Cyan Blue too!) Though I’m definitely forgetting more!

Edit: Such as Raspberry Monster and Konton boogie! Both fittingly pink. Raspberry Monster was in Europe 20, can’t remember if it ever got to America before then, and Konton boogie has that “Oishi no?” Bit.

If they could perform new songs in a perfect world for this theme… hm…. The popular new rin cover of LOL would be nice, but Tbf there’s so many Sweet Rin songs, I’d like I AM HUNGRY!! but I’ve seen some Rin songs called ‘candy’ and ‘candy magic’. It’d be cool if they finally pulled out happy Halloween for this too, even tho it’s nowhere near Halloween! Len could do Toluthin Antenna, mostly for vibes. Or Calorie lol. Or maybe anything by Kid-P. I’d want Kaito has lots of options but could do Pop candy sweet time 💙 and Luka to do Chocolate Road 💝 love those songs. Meiko could do red cider girl, another Meiko songs abt beverages. Or they could pull evil food eater oooo….

As for new Miku songs, and this is what I’ve been waiting for, since it’s about the hypothetical opportunities for a new outfit! LOL is very popular, but I feel like if it were to perform live, it should be in one of its song-specific outfits. The sweet TAK songs deserve that too, imo, tho they’d have to be newly modelled.

There has to be one. Something new and popular… maybe something in English? Maybe by a popular new producer? Hmmm….

That’s right folks, this is a post about lovely cavity. I can’t get over the “like a melody”(?) line, always think of SHAWTY’S LIKE A MELODY I wonder if it’s intentional-

Miku does indeed wear an outfit in this MV but it’s not really that special and it’s not like this song will different without it, since I believe it’s a design from an album cover(?) theres always an opportunity for her her to wear that outfit love during any other song from that album if oeople care that much. It’ll be the second time Miku wears a ‘wrong’ or ‘unfitting’ outfit it a SAWTOWNE song live haha. I believe this pick is perfect, but there are a few problems…

Would it exclude COARG from this concert? I feel that needs to perform with its outfit in an ideal world, would they really give us a new SAWTONE sing with a new outfit every year? Also this upcoming concert will definitely already have MCLS, and personally (and very unrealistically) I’m hoping they give that song the outfit from the MV suddenly (I like it a lot, and then they can give the outfit winner from 24 to making room for a fantasy ooooo). Good thing this hypothetical isn’t happening! ww

Some other options that aren’t as popular/known specifically in the western fandom, but won’t have this problem, include uhhh sweetly glitch (I know it’s digital stars related 👀), we are pop candy, strawberry candy and shiawase for you lol? I mean, I wouldn’t say it’s too late fir snow miku but as if she wasn’t gonna wear SM26 outfit for that bro, There’s a new one called sugar crush which I think is English, or miku could steal sugar sweet from teto. Also I’ll be honest I don’t think full course for candy addicts, cotton candy or amedama would really fit the vibe/outfit 💀

Also I just discovered SAWTOWNE also has a song called lollipop? crazy.

I also considered it as a fun way to lighten up old Miku Expo songs, like I feel this outfit as well as the steampunk one for Europe would for mahou mitai na music, but if miku stops wearing the outfit designed for that song live I will vomit through my eyes, that is probably my favourite outfit Miku’s worn onstage guys 😭💖 it does not deseve that. I don’t want them to replace the old sharing the world model again, I don’t want to lose the special effects in ten thousand stars or blue star, I guess there’s decade and can’t make a song but neither fit the steampunk design of Europe which I would require as an equivalent. That outfit however really fits plaything, and ig candy shop miku could fit ten thousand stars but I mourn the outfits designed for those songs actually being performed live correctly every day and I still hope they one day give us them. I love you wind up miku and uh the other one.

As a last huzzah I must mention that the outfits designed for both of these tours fit really well for world is mine imo? It’d be funny if every comcert or at least expo from now on is going to have Miku perform in a concert specific outfit lol. PixiePi would go crazy for that. Maybe that’s why world is mine hasn’t performed in a while! Wow! I mean, no.

I must say it’s weird I believe that they’re designing Miku Expo region-specific original outfits for the first time like ever, but seem to have no intention of having Miku perform in them. After getting three new outfits last expo AND one specific to Asia, surely they’re setting us up for disappointment right? Weird…

I wonder if they chose this theme specifically so they could do lovely cavity, and therefore have an excuse not to do the nightmare that will be COARG, it terms of modelling and Miku concert reputation and a myriad of other things….

Confessions of a rotten girl - Teto himejoshi. Quick thing I did for fun based off the creator's concept art.

I highly expect we will see Confessions of a Rotten girl in the next set of Miku Expos, hopefully debuting in America in 2026 and staying in the Europe tour. It really doesn’t seem that unlikely, I don’t see what holds it back, I doubt the lyrical content will prevent anything. And as far as I’m aware the only voicebank used in the song is Miku herself, and there’s been songs with other characters in the MVs live before, surely- It only seems impossible because it would be the best thing ever.

On the other hand, you know what can’t be held back by lyrics? The other Miku English song released this year that’s been going viral…?

It might be a matter of one or the other. Coarg fits the concert setting more but Static is just too iconic to ignore. My hope is for both, with Coarg as the hype at opener ever and Static as the first song in the encore before the theme song(s), or maybe the so called “last song” before the encore in general.

It’s just as exciting to imagine their visuals too, after Psi, Yomau silhouette and god knows what in Magical Mirai this year, you can expect miku to be wearing the MV outfit in both of them. Imo coarg doesn’t need it but it’d be nice to see, I hope she gets the yaoi paddle too. Coarg kinda fits already on its own because of its arrangement, that “my mind goes-!” will carry it too. Static on the other hand, is the complete opposite. Miku performing Static while not being Static miku just wouldn’t be the same imo. But is there any way to turn concert miku into static miku? Will her eyes open? Will her skin still be orange? Will they un-little-guy-ify her?

My dream at this point is to have Static live, be performed by the band and everything, but rather then a new model or outfit, it’s our beloved 2D static Miku herself animated, running across and exploring all the screens around the stage, and maybe the stage itself, hopefully with an actual background, though if there isn’t one it’ll fit the song’s emptiness well, so I guess it needs both. This would be monumental, and a perfect way for the Miku Expo Screens to be less hated by the fans, even if it’s just one simple 2D song. At least, I think so. It could be called lazy but I think above that it’d be called smart and respectful to the source. That’s all just my opinion though.

Just imagine, what sounds like tell your world starts playing with the words “last song” displayed until it all suddenly cuts to quiet static, and then a GIANT static miku appears, gen z staring at the audience with her autistic eyes, pressed up against the screen as those horns blare out, just like in the MV! It’d be a dream come true. In the same concert as coarg too?!??

I mean, Radiant Revival is another one of my big predictions and it’s probably more likely than the two of these. But in case it could only be one of them…
