Every morning they come to play Even on the greyest day Sometimes alone, sometimes a pair They dance through the branches and zoom through the air. Well that was... an end to my weekend. My husband and I found this fella
Hanging out on the bathroom window last night, sleeping like a baby. We thought he'd hit a window and was sleeping off his stun, so we kept the bathroom light off and left him to it.
This morning it turned out he was keeping an eye on his mate, who'd fallen behind our loo after flying into the window. We hadn't noticed her and I had no idea why Mr coaltit there was still hanging out this morning and so, I sent him on his way. I then woke up his Mrs and spent a good ten minutes trying to catch her with a towel so I could let her out after having a heart attack, thinking we had a mouse or rat problem.
Mrs coaltit was perfectly healthy and none the worse for wear and now the two of them are safely back outside, probably wondering WTH happened last night.
Note: The light source in the photo is from the hallway light behind me. I wasn’t about to use a flash on my camera when taking a picture of a seemingly stunned bird.
