Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose - Analysis
The painting is off two little girls in some overgrown garden, where they are seen lighting some paper lanterns to hang from the branches of the plants. The colour palette is made up mainly of natural tones such as greens and blues to show the grass and hw the sky has given the landscape a blue glow. Some orange, along with some vibrant pinks and reds.

Today we ventured into Margate on a quest to create a map of our travels through the windy seaside town and to take some photos, sketches and videos along the way.
The line sketches proved to be difficult over the course of the day due to the abrasive sand tormenting my eyes and paper with every gust. To avoid such, I nestled myself in a coffee shop by the seaside, observing the walks of life gracing the streets of margate.

Today we created pinhole cameras with laser cut wood, a dab of glue, a ton of duck tape, and a pin-pricked piece of tin foil.
We then ventured into the B&W darkroom where film sheets were administered. Afterwards, we had to quickly find a place of interest as we held the pinhole cameras against our chest,; desperately trying not to let any light in. Otherwise, the mission would've failed. When I identified my location, I set a timer for 18 seconds and flipped the camera around towards the subject - holding the camera as still and steady as possible. Once the 18 seconds had eclipsed, I flipped the camera back around towards my body and charged back to the darkroom, up the stairs. I then put the piece of exposed film into the developer for 60 seconds, allowing the exposed parts of the film to emanate. Straight after the film stopped developing within the developer, I put the film into the stopper for 30 seconds and then into the fixer (for the film not to fade out) for approximately 5 minutes. After the break, we are turning the negatives into positives!

Today we started the day touring around the campus identifying specific points of where we would like to start shooting. Our group used manual controls throughout, varying the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO to generate different results.
For this shot, I used a relatively low shutter speed and zoomed into the subject just as I pressed the shutter button. This gave a cool motion blur effect towards the subject.
SKETCHBOOK - Part 4
FALSE ICONS
Here is a poster I created that is to promote thinking for yourself and idolising role models whose real nature and agenda is behind closed doors. In this modern day and age children are being brought up with social media and television that promotes celebrities as role models and puts sexual perversion in a good light creating a generation who look up to these facades of celebrities for morals and guidance.
I try to convey this through my poster with the use of striking red typography. The image behind it is of a statue of George IV as I wanted to convey the image of this king offering his hand as a symbol of compassion towards the people, is false in a day where the leaders of our country are making decisions that don’t reach the public eye.
I distorted the image to create a sense of a collapsing system and deteriorating society.
