Don’t try to mansplain to me how a character isn’t offensive when you clearly don’t understand the subject matter of what the character is attempting to convey. If you think Angel Dust “isn’t offensive” to SA victims I think you need to reevaluate your view of the subject matter. Just because he isn’t offensive to you doesn’t mean he’s not offensive to a very large group of people. I’ve had too many people on this app mansplain to me what his character is like I don’t know. I know, and it’s poor writing. If you’re gonna decide to enjoy the show despite how insanely problematic it is, fine, but don’t pretend it’s this well written masterpiece— you’re allowed to like poorly written things. But you can’t pretend it doesn’t actually take a toll on real people.
