Based on a sculpture of Clytie, a nymph who was turned into a sunflower and must forever follow the sun. AKA needed a kinktober break lol

sometimes i think of that one person who really likes machaon of tricca and it reminds me of how much i really like clytie (the lover of helios) like, i dont think i talk about her enough on here, i don't even think i talk about her enough to my friends (mostly because im only ever talking about helios).
i actually started my main acc in hopes to talk more about clytie and helios, maybe even start an ask blog soon about helios' kids & lovers (with clytie on center) just because i love them so much... thank you to the #1 machaon of tricca fan for reminding me to embrace my love for clytie

probably wont be too active on here but i drew helios' past lovers
clytie ~ water nymph; my favorite lover of helios,, her and helios were deeply in love until aphrodite cursed helios to fall in love with another (leucothoe)
leucothoe of persia ~ daughter of king orchamus; i am aware that in some variations, leucothoe is not a lover of helios but rather a victim. i thought i'd include her anyway because I love her
perse ~ daughter of oceanus; also the mother of circe and even calypso in some rare versions
clymene ~ mother of phaethon; sometimes mixed up with clytie. phaethon was the son of helios who rode his chariot and was then struck down by zeus
rhodes ~ daughter of poseidon; also known as rhodos. helios believed her to be so beautiful that he would give her the most beautiful of all islands and name it after her
forgive me if any of these are incorrect
Evelyn De Morgan (1855–1919) Clytie, 1887
