#cluedowood

A conversion of several objects made by @syboubou​ from Sims 4 to Sims 2.

Contains compost bin, water pump and water hose from their “A la ferme” set as well as a planter from “Hortensia garden” set.

Compost bin is meant to work with @lamare-sims​’s and mine Planting Overhaul mod. Comes in all the original colors plus Cluedo woods by @shastakiss​.

Planter works as a planter (4 slots) and needs @honeywell-mts​ garden plot or @lamare-sims​ edited version of it to work with Planting Overhaul mod. I’d also recommend having this fertilizing fix by@midgethetree.

I made some recolors for basegame piano because I always thought it lacked them and now I know why... The mapping is horrible and so complicated!  😩

Good news is that plain recolors look flawless on it so I made some 🤗 And then I spent another two days figuring out recolors with Cluedo woods and it was rough... I think I did my best with my current texturing skill level 😅

So, you get recolors in all of Cluedo woods and colors by @shastakiss​

I also included a default replacement file which uses Cluedo wood color called “Dark” so be sure to delete it in the corresponding folder to avoid duplicates if you want this default.

Genius @shastakiss​ already did almost all stairs in Cluedo woods but I wanted to complete the collection. And when @simblrnova​ released her fixes and edits for Quaint stairs (used in the preview picture), I knew what I had to do.

This is a default replacement for both variants of quaint stairs in Cluedo woods plus completer recolors for both of them.

I highly recommend using this mesh replacement by @hugelunatic or this one by @simblrnova. Also, @shastakiss did quaint fence by Chrissy6930 in Cluedo woods, you can find it here.

Imagine your creative sims took this granny’s sofa and completely DIY’d it like in those YouTube videos... That’s what I did here! 😅 

The Baroccoco set (sofa, loveseat and armchair) gets new Cluedo woods textures (these are by @shastakiss​) and new jacquard fabrics that keep that sturdy slightly old-fashioned look. I was too lazy with wood textures so you get plain wood everywhere and no shine on any texture. DIY style like I said 😄

There’s also one additional file in the folder which makes loveseat’s wooden part repositoried to the sofa (the fabric part was already repositoried by Maxis). It’s only needed for additional wooden colors to show up on the loveseat (for some reason straight recoloring of it didn’t work).

This one was super easy to recolor but not so easy to make it match other objects in Cluedo because of a rather complex TXMT file. But it’s done :)

This is a recolor of a basegame expensive fridge in all Cluedo woods and colors by @shastakiss​. Woods are mat and colors are shiny.

I highly recommend using one of these default replacements by Shasta for this fridge.

This is such a beautiful door and obviously I wanted to have it in Cluedo woods and metals.

My recolors are based on these recolors by @shastakiss and these by Michelle. There are all of Cluedo woods and all of Cluedo rough metals.

Also, I recommend using this glass replacement by @sligpants.

Here’s part two of texture replacements for plants. This time I decided to cover most of outdoor ones. Part one is here.

Plants replaced (some names were shortened): Flower Barrel, Layers of Loveliness, Potted Perennials from Planter's Paradise, PSBs from Planter's Paradise, Ring-O-Posies, Synthetic Iron Trellis and The Decoy Trellis.

I also tried replacing Season’s preorder trellis’ flower textures but they didn’t look good at all because of the tiny flower space and I didn’t want to make the already 512x512 texture even bigger. So instead, I recommend you get @shastakiss​ Cluedo wood replacement + recolors here (at least the wooden part will be pretty).

I replaced most of pots too, but only Flower Barrel is an exception because nothing beats Shasta’s Cluedo woods texture for it (visible on previews, be sure to get it, it's not included). Textures for wooden parts of The Decoy Trellis and PSBs from Planter's Paradise are based on Shasta’s default replacement in pirate woods (originals can be found here) but use @goatskickin​ Heatland and Pilgrim woods from their Christmas Woods collection. For these plants I also did recolors in all Cluedo woods (they look a bit strange but these textures were so complicated they gave me a headache so I did my best here). Synthetic Iron Trellis uses one of @shastakiss​ metals -  rust. Other textures come from textures.com and various sites with free pngs. PSBs from Planter's Paradise also has additional flower recolors.

IMPORTANT:

By default, PSBs from Planter's Paradise is broken and displays only one flower texture in nh view. @simnopke​ was kind enough to look into it and was able to fix it. Be sure to get the fix here to be able to see all flower recolors for it in nh view. Thank you so much Nopke! 🤗

As always, all replacements and recolors are separated so you can pick and choose what you want.
