I just had to make a whole tumblr post about khiphop stock because I had the time of my life. I didn’t expect much but it’s by far my favorite night ever.

My friend and I bought the tickets by credit card. I’m so thankful to her because I only have cash and I wouldn’t have made it without her. I originally wanted to go on San E or Mad Clown’s performance days but I didn’t find anyone willing to go with me so I settled for Zico (that I like a lot too anyway). The poster says Zico, Madtown Moos and Freshboyz. I only knew Zico back then haha

It happens in a club but it’s not creepy at all for people who don’t usually go to clubs. There is loud music but other than that, no one even really dances. They said they’d open at 7 and we arrived at that time. The queue wasn’t long and when we went inside, we could easily stand in the second row in the middle (which is one of the best spots ever to watch the performances). The stage was circular. 

Before it actually started, there were a couple of djs (one of them strangely looked like kang hi hwan and the girl was so cute! her stage name is DJ Sunny, you can find her on instagram. The third DJ was stylish. He had parted hair and his hair flipped with the music which was cute). The Kang Ji Hwan lookalike even played trumpet along with the music and it sounded great. 

Some underground rappers made the opening for Freshboyz/Zico. 

The first team was Black Tree. Every team came up like twice before Zico arrived. They kinda look like  the mcs of Weekly Idol (I don’t know how to describe people sorry). They were so good that i got hyped up from the very first performance. When you go to a khiphop thingy, you just go with the music and put your hands up when you’re asked for it. I really can’t remember who did what among the undergound rappers because everything was overwhelming and I’m writing this two days after that night -I have the worst memory ever. Excuse me if I make mistakes- but I think Black Tree (the second time they went on stage) had a box of signed cds and distributed them. They also had a song called f*ck you and they told us “hold out your middle finger” everyone did that except the foreigners lol that was so awkward! the koreans chanted fuck you and were holding out their middle fingers and we were just like: whaat.

They’re really really good. 

SQUISHY team followed. Just kidding, they are from Knockdown entertainment . The members are basically Sinzo (the cutie), Jeewon (he dances and he’s dirty. FOR REAL, you’ll figure out why later) and Taeik (the singer with an androgynous rock feel to his voice) and there was also a woman performing at some point with them. I really can’t remember. 

Sinzo has a baby voice when he talks. He’s ao aegyoish and I love his eyes. He’s the cutest person I’ve ever seen and when he starts doing his beatbox, he changes 180°. Even his rap sounds so rough compared to his speaking voice. He sang a line and then he was back to his cutie voice.

At some point, a fan handed him gum. He looked so cute because he was confused for less than one second then he smiled widely and gave one to Jeewon and kept one to himself (Taeik wasn’t on stage yet).  Their energy was amazing. 

Jeewon is such a camwhore. Whenever he finds a phone, he gets really close. He seemed shy at first because when he raps, he doesn’t really look at people. I didn’t even try to get his attention first. Then he went full crazy. He went to the japanese girl standing right in front of me and he just held her chin very seductively. THAT’S WHY HE’S DIRTY JEEWON. Some fancams show his back when he danced because he had a big sized tshirt so it went up at some points, I was behind him so i saw clearly and damn boy has nice body!

I said no and made a no gesture haha (I COULDNT RECOGNIZE IT WITH THE FIRST NOTES. I’M NOT A MAINSTREAM MUSIC PERSON. I DON’T EVEN LISTEN TO THE RADIO). He looked shocked! and I was embarrassed so I looked away so that he gets distracted with someone else haha 

When Taeik appeared, everyone was even more hyped up! He has such a rock feel to everything he does and he’s passionate and cute. He looks overwhelmed when he’s on stage and I was so touched when I listened to him sing. 

The girl singing with them is also so good! I fell in love with her voice. I think sinzo said something about being her oppa(?). They had cute moments together. All of them are really just friends doing music together, yoiu can clearly feel it when you see them and I loved that!

At some point, Sinzo asked us: what’s my name? everyone got it right. Then he asked about jeewon’s and no one knew so he introduced him haha that was embarrassing but also very cute. We weren’t many in the audience and most of the people were there for zico (few for Moos) and we didn’t even know about knockdown performing.

 I wanted to talk to sinzo. Everyone except zico was all around the place so it was easy to approach them but I couldn’t think of anything to say. I asked my friend to help me and by the time I stopped freaking out, sinzo was already gone > <.

Then another DJ came. He looked distinctively handsome. I told my friend, maybe he’s Moos and I pointed at the poster. They did look alike. She just nodded. He half-danced to his dj-ing. The japanese fan in front of me was going crazy and she was trying to have his attention. I didn’t understand why back then. I thought he was a dj that’s like twice as handsome as the regular dj. At the end of the day, I told my friend “moos didn’t come! :o” and then she smiled and she was like he was the handsome DJ. I really thought he would be rapping or something.

Then Fresh Boyz were on stage. When they were speaking Korean, I made my I-don’t-understand-shit kind of expression. I really try to focus on what’s going on and I have a dumb face when someone speaks Korean but it’s not a big deal. I’m just trying to learn new words by doing that haha. One of the Fresh Boyz noticed and somehow he felt bad for me. They started talking about foreigners and they told us “welcome to Korea!”  That was cute!

They’re as fresh as their name suggests. 

Between every song, they would say something like: “It’s hard to wait for zico, right? We’re waiting with you”. They were so nice! They made us chant “ZIACO!!”

When we were waiting for Zico, everyone was overexcited. When one person turns to see the stairs, everyone goes crazy like it was something special to see him walking towards the stage.  When he did, I don’t know why I lost ALL MY SURROUNDING SPACE. Everyone came closer to watch, there was some kind of slight pushing and phones were everywhere. I never use my phone because the quality ain’t that good and I can’t multitask (enjoy and take pictures/videos). Sorry guys. That’s why I’m using other people’s fancams on this post. 

The mood Zico set was completely on another level. He walked to every part of the stage. We had so many eyecontact moments (behind his sunglasses). He performed half of his FAST rap verses right in front of me. I could see the trail of sweat in his neck and that was hot (sorry for this sentence).

He was very professional but also warm. I had this preconceived idea that the zico of 2015 is a bit... cold (compared to before) but my impression was wrong. I had the expression of shrek’s cat on my face during the time he was there. I jumped around because I was excited! I was almost crying (ALMOST) but I was happy so I couldn’t get myself to cry. 

I think he noticed the way I looked because I did my babyish act haha I couldn’t help it. Maybe it’s just me being selfconscious. Many had the same kind of expressions. At some point, I just got very shy because I hate closeness XD so everytime he’d be close, I would just try to look away (I regret it now) because it was overwhelming. I had to go easy on my heart but Zico didn’t help. Maybe because I love him, I felt him inspecting me (behind the sunglasses haha) and maybe he that’s because I’m a foreigner and I was acting strange somehow. He really shared lots of moments with many people who came to watch him.

His rap was amazing! I didn’t expect him to do his verses from Oasis. I PUT ALL MY HANDS (I only have 2 veryy unluckily) at Crush part hahaha LIKE I’M YOUR LADY, OPPA so I put up my hands in the air!! Almost everyone knew the lyrics of what he was performing.

He told us not to use the phones because he will be spilling water on us (I didn’t understand what he said but my friend assumed that he also said to try to enjoy the music without using the phone). 

i felt blessed when I got water on me hahahaha FROM HIS BOTTLE.

When he finished, he just said bye and left. 

(the others made encores and speeches at the end but he just left). ALMOST everyone followed. My friend and I didn’t. We were too puzzled to think, to do anything!! 

I’m glad we stayed because we were dancing to “Just dance” by Lady Gaga when suddenly we heard DJ SUNNY say “SNSD” and Hyoyeon just kinda appeared at the DJ spot... 

Cameramen were everywhere from that point. My friend and I were the only foreigners (first row) so the cameras focused on us (??). I have camera fright lmao.

Her dj-ing was average but it doesn’t matter. She was so pretty and she danced (the dj kind of dance) to her music and it was cute to watch it. After only a few minute, people came back and others joined (some because Hyoyeon was there and the others because Zico didn’t say much and he JUST left again haha). 

At first, she didn’t really look at us. She’s very professional. She only looked at the cameras. Then, she posed for a male fan’s picture.   Hyoyeon went upstairs when she was done.  One person joined to ask for a picture and got it then others followed.

Seo In Young was next at the dj but weirdly, no one really cared about her :o I didn’t notice her until the end because I thought the official djs of the club went back to their spot. I was surprised when I suddenly saw her. There was almost no one around her (except the cameramen) . Everyone was just doing their thing.

There wasn’t much to do in the club later. We met other foreigners and we decided to go read the post on the door to see if there was more to come. When I turned my head, Hyoyeon was standing RIGHT next to me. RIGHT NEXT TO ME.  I couldn’t help looking at her and fangirling with my eyes. I honestly think it made her freak out. She just looked at me from the corner of her eyes and she looked away lol I couldn’t talk to her at that point so I just stayed still until she left. 

Maybe I’m too self-conscious and maybe I shouldn’t have shown my honest happy expression. Sorry Hyoyeon > < I really love her. 

So yeah she left.

In two weeks, San E performs, the week after Mad Clown and right after Block B Bastarz.
