I'm kind of obsessed with the choices Murph makes for playing Maxwell Gotch combined with the weird reality imposed by the game mechanics. Like, Maxwell Gotch dreams of adventure, but is also obsessed with remaining sensible and respectable while on an adventure. He keeps giving away information because he's NOT a crazed paranoid murderhobo who views every new person he meets as a potential archnemesis, and assumes most people are reasonable and will want to work together towards a common goal. He tries to maintain his impeccable grooming and presentation, refuses to wield a weapon, and views his martial skills as simply a form of athletic exercise that happens to appeal to him. Some Gentlemen ride horses, some play golf, Maxwell Gotch engages in gentlemanly fisticuffs. Unlike Olethra, who is a lower-level character out of combat and drives a mech suit to bring her up to the power level of the Legendary Veteran Adventurers, Maxwell Gotch walked onto the table as a 6th level character. He's monstrously strong, will jump onto a plane, rip the pilot out of his seat, and then jump OFF that plane in a single turn. He takes on mech suits and dinosaurs with nothing but his bare fists. Everybody else is using mech suits, steampunk prosthetics, and guns. Daiske Brickleby is a master gunslinger and sharpshooter, Maxwell Gotch is JUST AS EFFECTIVE with nothing but his bare fists. He's also the stick-in-the-mud reasonable everyman in the group that has a codeword for "I am about to shoot all of you so many times"
