#clone cadets

This isn't any kind of hate post but it's more of a point on.

Also because Omega is one of my favorites doesn't mean she has no flaws (mostly in her design by my opinion, she is well written)

We all know that she is a pure clone material of Jango yet being the opposite gender, it's something about x and y chromosome that I'm not gonna further now, but I've seen people say that she is a homage to jangos sister, and so more so to Temuera's real sister, but in that case wouldn't it make sense for her to look like a young Daniel Logan?because she is a clone of Jango and not his sister.

In the bad batch season three they actually did update the cadets models design, which does looks more similar to Daniel

But also her being the opposite gender wouldn't justify why she looks different than a young clone, bc she has a very different face structure from them :thinner nose, face and mouth, eyebrows, she is little paler and has in general a slimmer face prop, and those bugs me out the most

Normally when I draw her or young cadets I try to make them look the same with minor changes like eyes or hair color in that case but couldn't they really make her model more like a cadet other than redesign it for justification that she's a girl ?

Not to mention the whitewashing and curly hair erasure that the clones have:/

But the Vod’e have a culture of their own at this point. Sure, they borrowed some things from Mandalorians and they definitely picked up a few things from the Jedi but they took those pieces and many more, shaped them around the lives they lived and they built something that is completely their own.

Names are very important things for the clones. The people who made and trained them as weapons gave them numbers instead of names as one of the many ways to erode their humanity and their claim to personhood, but because of this, names became Important. A vod would earn their name due to achievements or distinct characteristics or some shenanigan or other that they were in the middle of, or they would choose one of their own.

Names were one of the first things that made them distinct at the beginning of the war, that helped them to start exploring themselves as individuals rather than cogs in a machine. And because clones don’t really have birthdays like we do as they share their decanting day with their entire batch and with like five other batches on top of it, they instead have their namingday. They day they got their name.

And by the time the war ends and the Vod’e are ready to go off and find some peaceful planet to settle and recover from everything that was their lives up till then, the concept of earning a name, or choosing your own, is so ingrained in their culture that simply naming the tubbies and cadets feels wrong. Like they’re denying their little brothers the chance to forge their own path and determine the person that they want to be.

So they don’t name them.
