“(y/n)!! Are you coming with us?” Tanner asks before popping his head into your office. You nod your head and grab your keys and phone before standing up and walking over to Tanner.

You Tanner, Gunner, and Mitch needed to go shopping for the Rekt shoot coming up later. Connor couldn’t make it so you offered to sub in for the video. It was a challenge video where you would face off against Gunner and Woods while Tanner hosted it.

While Tanner is introing the vlog, you shoot a quick text to your boyfriend Woods to remind him of the shoot. You and Woods had been dating for about six months now but kept it pretty under wraps from everyone. It’s not like you were ashamed of each other but sometimes office romances don’t end well and the two of you wanted to figure out your relationship and feelings without all of your friends watching.

“Okay well (y/n) isn’t even paying attention currently so,” Tanner trails off and you pick your head up at the sound of your name.

“Who are you texting?” Mitch asks zooming in on your face which you were sure was flushed red.

“No one.” You smile and the guys start poking fun at you. After getting to walmart, you pick out the best punishments for the game before hopping back into the car and heading to Goodwill.

“There is no way Gunner should have been Thor.” You add in after setting down a beautifully inscribed ceramic plate.

“Thank you!” Mitch and Tanner say in unison and Gunner pouts.

Suddenly, one of your favorite songs, I Like Me Better by Lauv comes on and you immediately start to sing and dance in the middle of the store while Mitch films a bit of it. When he shuts the camera off, you continue to dance and sing along.

“This song reminds me of that party you threw.” Tanner mentions and you feel your heart start to beat a bit faster.

About a month before you and Woods started to date, you threw a massive party. You invited a ton of old friends, new friends, and work friends alike. At the time you still felt like you were trying to get to know everyone at the office and figured it would be the easiest way to hangout with them in a non intimidating circumstance.

The party was going well and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. You hopped from friend group to friend group, talking to everyone to see how it was going and found everyone loving the party. Just as you’re about to walk over to your school friends, you hear Tanners familiar voice call out.

“(y/n)!” He greets when you walk up to him. “Do you have any more solo cups? There’s none in the kitchen.”

“Uhh let me check downstairs there might be some.”

“Do you need any help?” Woods asks stepping forward.

“Sure!”

Out of most of the people at the studio, you and Woods seemed to get along the best. Your humors clicked instantly when you met each other and you always found yourself wanting to see him smile constantly. You and many others could feel the tension that surrounded you two like a cloud. You both wanted the same thing but weren’t sure if it was good to start an office romance.

The two of you scale your way down into the darkened basement before flipping a light switch and the room comes to life. You both start searching the room for extra cups in silence for a while before you break it.

“Uhm I don’t think we have any.” You say turning towards Woods and smiling sheepishly.

“Well, guess the party's over.” He jokes and you laugh.

“What a shame it was just getting to the good part.” You respond and he smiles at you.

You gesture for him to follow you back upstairs and you make your way back towards the party. But, when you get to the door you find it’s jammed shut. You yank on it a couple of times before Woods steps in front of you and tries but to no avail. You two were stuck.

“Do you have your phone?” Woods asks turning back to you.

“No it’s in the kitchen charging.”

“So is mine.” He sighs. The two of you knock on the door loudly trying to get someone to hear but you knew the music was too loud and you’d just have to wait for someone to notice you two had been gone for awhile.

You both make your way back downstairs and sit on the beat up old couch. You’re both quiet for a while, the only sounds are the loud beat of I Like Me Better by Lauv. But soon Woods breaks the silence this time.

“Well this is not how I expected the night to go but I almost prefer it this way.” He says and you tilt your head in confusion. “Parties are fun but not always my scene.” He says explaining further.

“I haven’t thrown a party in years to be honest. I mostly did it so I could get to know you guys more.”

Woods takes the next moment of silence to move closer to you on the couch. Your knees knock together as he sits back down and you can feel your hands start to shake. You look up at him and his face is mere inches from yours.

“If you wanted to hangout you could have just asked.” He whispers.

“I didn’t-” Before you can finish your sentence Woods’ lips are on yours and you’re melting underneath his touch. His hands cup your face while yours trail to his waist and pull him as close as possible.

Before the kiss goes too far, you hear the basement door slam open making the two of you break apart. When you look over at the stairs, Gunner and Tanner come running down.

“Are you guys okay?” Gunner asks and you and Woods nod in response.

“Y’all have been gone for an hour. We figured we’d come look when we saw the door was busted.”

After that day, yours and Woods real relationship started. It was also after that day that you would keep your relationship on the down low so you can figure out how the two of you work together without any interference.

After y’all leave Goodwill, you head back to the office and set up for the video. You, Gunner, and Woods would be answering trivia questions from Tanner while holding a rope filled with a bucket of water. The whole point was to get the questions right and try not to drop the bucket and smash your items.

The first round goes quickly with Gunner losing first, and then you, making Woods the winner. After setting up the second round, Tanner starts firing off questions again. Woods ends up breaking Gunners item for him so Tanner puts a 25 pound weight in his bucket.

“He’s gonna drop it.” Tanner says while he watches Woods struggle to hold up the rope.

“Nah dude just ask the question bro.” Woods retorts and Tanner shrugs before turning to you.

“What type of rock comes from volcanoes?”

“Igneous.” You answer with ease. The semester of geology you took finally paid off.

Before Tanner can confirm you’re right, your attention is pulled to Woods. His bucket rests on the glass vase and before he can drop it, Tanner lifts up his foot and smashes the item. The next few minutes are a complete blur as you feel a sharp pain cut through your leg.

“(y/n)!!” You hear Woods yell and then you’re surrounded by the guys. Before you can do anything, you’re suddenly lifted up and placed on the table sitting at the edge of the room.

Chuck pushes through the guys and kneels down to survey the large cut on your leg. You can see Tanner, Gunner, and Woods freaking out but you couldn’t focus on anything but the searing pain in your leg.

“Woods.” You whisper and he’s by your side in an instant.

“You might want to hold on to something this is gonna sting.” Chuck says and you instinctively reach for Woods’ hand. You turn your head so your face is pressed into his shoulders as Chuck sprays something on to your leg making the pain twice as bad.

You don’t move from the position until Chuck gives you the okay. You lift your head up and look down to see half of your leg wrapped up in gauze. Chuck tells you that it’ll be okay but you might want to head to urgent care later after work just in case.

You look over at Woods and he immediately rushes forward and kisses your lips. The kiss was urgent and you could feel his care and worry through it. Your lost in his touch even after he pulls away, causing you to forget that Tanner and Gunner were standing right there.

“Wait what?” Tanner asks confused.

“I knew it!” Gunner yells.
