I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's thought about omegaverse's effects on history. My mind frequently wanders to the effects of it on Egyptian line of succession, given how young some Pharoah came into power, as well as it's effects on Julius Caesar and his creation of his empire and whatever the fuck him, cleopatra, and Mark Antony had going on
The Egyptian line of succession would have been absolutely buck wild in an Omegaverse, maybe even more so then the Habsburgs. My mind goes immediately to Hatshepsut, who is probably still confusing modern scholars in that universe by incorporating elements of several gender presentations into her iconography. There's probably even MORE argument about testing the mummy we think is hers, with scholars arguing it would be valuable to know what her actual secondary gender was from an anthropological perspective and finally end centuries of fighting on the subject, while others argue that it really shouldn't matter that much.
Meanwhile the Caesar, Cleopatra, and Mark Anthony situation ship is so wildly fun to consider, especially because their's the added wrinkle that Nicodemus IV probably got there first, and had at least one child with Caesar prior to Caesar even going to Gaul. I can't decide if said kid would have survived their father's assassination or not though. Roman politics was a cut throat game already, but I don't think it was until around Caligulia that they got cool with just whole sale family murder (and Brutus was at least nominally trying to hold on to his morals so he might have objected). If the kid did survive that is incredibly fun wrinkle to throw into Cleopatra, Anthony and Octavian's ensuing civil war over Rome's future.
