It's physically painful to see content in this fandom about Evelyn. The way this character is misunderstood needs further study. a witch who was simply interested in humans. I always see her as rose quartz in witch world, her entire lore is basically same. to be honest. Her goal was literally just to show this blond twink her world, to help him find himself, to do something good for him, maybe improve his life. But for some unknown reason, he couldn't return back one time. Maybe something broke, or the portal, or something else happened i don't know. But it kills me when someone thinks this happened on purpose. Do you seriously think that someone like Edalyn would have such a goal? No, she didn't steal him, she didn't pick up the first person she came across, they already knew each other in that portrait where you see fire in her hand, and no, she didn't curse belos, it was never her curse, it's all because Belos ate magical animals. This witch invented dimensional travel, portal doors always were hers, just like flapjack who always were her palisman, I'm sure she raised the first fucking witch hybrids, the entire Clawthorne family tree exists thanks to her, and they're not the only ones, I think Blights are involved in this somehow too. Most likely, this witch even tried to stop Belos's rule. (attack of some incomprehensible wild witches, I don't understand how that would have helped, honestly but anyway) and people again took everything wrong way, I just sincerely feel sorry for this character, just before you draw something next time, try to think that maybe everything is not that simple in this very sad story about Wittebanes where everyone worries exclusively about orphans. Honestly, I feel sorry for her even more when I see her being just always sexualized.
