TRIALS & TRIBULATIONS
Playing around with the title Food for Thought again, however we are unsure if we are to use it as a primary draw point or to use it as more of a branding thing.
I played around with vector shapes, organic flows and cut-out-like letters in Illustrator, trying to get a feel for the art style that weβre going for. Punchy and bold yet not too intimidating and controlling.
WEEK 6
This was the little model I made for todays class! I know itβs a really, really badly done diorama but at least it was something tangible/physical that we could present! Kara had done a wonderful paper prototype for our mobile application but unfortunately I didnβt take a photo of it.
I didnβt find todays class very productive as I was feeling sick for majority of it, but we got some hard knock-on-the-head feedback from Jason about how this idea was pretty... meh. Boring. Blah. Easy route. Hard facts but itβs the truth!
SO from now on we have to turn up the heat and amp up the creativity, all while keeping our mantra in mind: We want to create a tool that facilitates mindful cooking and social interaction while keeping in mind boundaries such as time and money. From now on we have to push outside of the creative boundaries that weβve set for ourselves so that we can enjoy this project!
We also had our feedback session for our first assignment (the brief) today which was awesome! We got really good feedback, a very strong positive was our writing. Jason said that it was one of the best well-written briefs which is a huge pat on the back for Kara and I. Our weaknesses did lie in theΒ βHow Might We?β andΒ βHunchesβ pages, as well as our lacklustre cover page.
