Michael Persico and the Classic Jazz Orchestra present: “Swing That Music” A vibrant revival of swing-era energy through timeless performance and modern precision.

“Swing That Music” captures a moment suspended between past and present. Led by trombonist, vocalist, and educator Michael Persico, The Classic Jazz Orchestra (also known as Classic Jazz Visions) brings a polished sense of reverence to a sound that once defined an era. Rather than simply re-creating swing, Persico and his ensemble reinterpret it through the lens of contemporary production, offering clarity and depth while retaining the warmth and spontaneity of vintage jazz recordings.

The track is part of Classic Jazz Visions: A Multimedia Journey Through Swing’s Golden Age, a project that intertwines live music with rare historical photography to reintroduce audiences to the spirit of the 1930s and 1940s. The initiative is deeply rooted in Persico’s lifelong dedication to jazz, tracing back to his early career across Cape Cod and southern New England. A Berklee College of Music graduate, he has spent decades performing, teaching, and preserving the musical traditions that shaped American culture.

“Swing That Music” showcases the meticulous musicianship of The Classic Jazz Orchestra, whose lineup demonstrates remarkable dexterity and control. Each section—the brass, reeds, and rhythm—interacts with playful precision.
