I love literally EVERYTHING about nureyev's ballet choreography for romeo and juliet but if i had to pinpoint some of my fav movements visually speaking:
The way they mirror each other in the balcony scene (more specifically juliet leads and romeo follows, as it should be lol)
These two kisses, no further explanation required ajdhfvfhhj
Mirroring each other part 2 (none of them wants to hang up yet lol)
Okayyy Tybalt we know what you are (homoeroticism is never lost on nureyev tbh)
Mercutio's death (no one believes him yet, the full scene is amazingly heartbreaking btw)
This scene inspired from that one in act 5 of the play where my boy is dreaming of being cradled by juliet but it transition into benvolio shaking him awake to tell him she's dead??? (obsessed with this sequence since like 2023)
Anna Pavlova as The Dying Swan
I usually don't like to film in the theatre but i couldn't help myself to take this little snippet. I love Four Little Swans so much! 20/3/2026
