Yes, the spies have individual personalities and character traits that set them apart. For the Black Spy, it depends on which era you're reading from, but the White Spy has a pretty consistent personality.
Anyone who has read the comics while actually paying attention should know this. But there's still mischaracterization in the fandom that I find annoying LOL. Mostly regarding the White Spy
But after all, I can't stop you from doing whatever you want. If you're making AUs or headcanons, go fucking crazy! Though if you're trying to follow canon it'd be nice if you read the comics. Some of the collections are archived on archive.org and the rest should be available on Kindle.

it's Nancy season
This is the most stressful comic I’ve ever read. Surfer loses his powers on planet capitalism and has to figure how to survive in a system that’s designed to make you poor and homeless. He has to live in a shanty town and can’t get a job. At one point someone offers to buy a couple of his memories of previous adventures but he doesn’t read the fine print in the contract and ends up owing money. Then Drax (the old dumb one) comes to the planet to get him to fight Thanos but doesn’t realize that Surfer doesn’t have his powers and just flies off thinking the Surfer will follow. It is an absolute shit show of a nightmare.
