ouuh now this man is a little harder to peg (pun intended but by no means relevant)

Fluff Neighbor Clark Kent:

He’s a few years older than you and takes breaks throughout the year away from Metropolis back to Smallville, but he's always had his eye on you since you moved in a few months back, a sweet small town crush that lives down the road.

He drudges up the courage to knock on your front door after watching you from far with a soft smile on his face and his mom's famous apple pie in his hands: "Sweet treat for a sweet neighbor."

He familiarizes you with his chickens he grew up with and named after his favorite cartoon characters. He lets you help him out, since they like you more, smiles as they cluck around your feet pecking at the feed you drop on the ground.

Watching him work on the farm through his kitchen window after offering a glass of sweet tea, mouth slack at the sight of skin glistening with sweat and humidity as he chucks hay bales with no trouble, drooling as some of the liquid trails down the side of his mouth down his neck.

Once a week, he drives over to your place early, knocks on your door with a cream-cheese bagel and hot chocolate in hand with whipped cream and extra marshmallows just how you like it, leads you to his old truck and drives over to the corn field close by his farm watching the sunrise together through bleary eyes nuzzled close to his side

Happily wakes to the sound of breakfast being made in his kitchen, his heart soaring at the sight of you in the plaid button-up you stole from his closet padding barefoot into his room, sliding a stack of pancakes, bacon strips and hash browns on a plate onto his lap with a soft good morning and caress on his cheek

You're the only person he pulls out his mom's secret recipes for special meals that have been in his family for generations passed down to him in a leather-bound journal. 'Kent's famous pies and eats' he'd even laminate your own copy bind it and gift it for your birthday. "Your own copy since you love Ma's cooking you deserve to have piece of us with you"

You always give him kudos for his work at the Daily Planet, collecting his well-noted Superman interviews, collecting stacks of newspapers and placing them on your living room table for guests to read. He jokes that you have a crush on the superhuman cheeks flushing pink when you admit it with a dreamy look in your eyes.

Trailing after you like a lost puppy when you both begin interning at the Daily Planet, bringing your favorite meal and coffee order to your desk most mornings, finalizing edits of an overdue paper you’ve been meaning to hand in overnight.

“Here, finished it for you,” he says, eyes bleary from lack of sleep but wide and pleading, “Please love me.”

He’s a simple guy, craving your approval and attention, and of course, you give it to him.

Holding him close and bringing him back down to earth when his thoughts get dark wondering who he’d be if his home world never imploded.

this man needs to come with a choking hazard sign. talking of which, gotta gift him one of those t-shirts that have an arrow pointing down and says “choking hazard” you love it and he hates it (but secretly loves it)
