thought process Hornet’s abdomen would be stick thin because she’s not eating worth shit -> she’s never gonna be ready for a molt in that state -> wait when did hornet last molt. When is she due for a molt -> Wait it’s occurred to me. What if she’s so small not because of Pale King’s short genes but instead because she hasn’t molted in years due to not eating properly -> if Hornet starts eating more do you think she’ll molt again and get bigger -> BIG HORNET?

since we're talking about silksong's nakey sequence I want to mention how interesting it is to me how it reveals that bugs just don't seem to care about nudity. Which makes total sense, seeing as many bugs we see are already naked, but it's just incredibly funny to have Hornet, totally nude, approach Grindle to talk and neither of them mention it. Not even the slightest sly comment from Grindle who is a bastard in all other ways. He has only ever seen her cloaked until now and mans doesn't even bat an eye. Like ok I guess we're feeling like being butt ass naked now, good for you, but I can't steal any shit from you so idrc about that right now

#if we're being True To Bug Anatomy like. yeah it makes total sense there'd be no 'embarrassment' association with being naked #Outside of ovipositors sex organs are typically not all that visible #and given ovipositors have been modified in all sortsa ways by different bugs. I really doubt anyone cares about that either #Up until this point . There being no reaction to bugs being naked could just be passed off as like. This cicada molted, climbed up one of our cages, and then died standing up. Guess something went wrong with the molt, but I mean she’s in great condition. So now she’s mine, I guess.
