“please… please don’t go.” hit me w the feels
rapunzel had made it clear from their very first steps on the ground that she was behind clarke 100%. through everything they’d been through, every difficult decision, rapunzel stood behind it. defended it. vouched for it. but this? this was something she couldn’t wrap her head around, couldn’t find the words to speak for it. green eyes lowered to the ground, her back turned to her friend as she meant to walk away, get some space. clear her head. but she stopped, hearing the hurt in clarke’s voice. rapunzel sighed, turning around to look at clarke again and with zero hesitance in her voice, finally spoke. “i don’t know what else i can say. i know it can’t be easy to pick and choose who gets to survive and who has to---” her voice cracked, unable to even complete her thought, so instead she paused before continuing. “but this isn’t the way to do it. you know this won’t remain a secret, this’ll get out and everyone, everyone, will wonder what they did to not deserve a spot on that list.” like herself. but that wasn’t the point. “i just don’t know if i can stand by you when it comes out.”
send my muse “please… please don’t go.” to see their reaction / @claerke ( selectively accepting )
