Every time Bren tells someone they'll go fishing together "once everything settles down," i have a brief but glorious vision of him being happy and excited because its finally all calm, no one is actively trying to kill him, he doesn't need to be present anywhere, AND Jase has time to come down for an extended fishing trip - and then he gets to the dock and everyone else he's promised a fishing trip to also happened to be free and figured theyd just show up.
If this one boat goes missing, the entire planet is going to descend into chaos, and now he's stressed again
