given that tpw trilogy will never let me rest in peace, I just thought of an au where the sinegard4 pulled off that heist at the louvre. It has been consuming all of my thoughts ever since the news came out and I can't help but think about it every now and then.

I mean, imagine Kitay as an Anthropology professor, who is in Paris for some random seminar. He's attending a seminar, just to give himself and Rin a reason to be in Paris. She roped in Nezha by convincing him to use Muzha's connections in the curator world to create a list of jewels they wanted to steal (maybe paintings too? idk lol) and Venka is a Parisian at heart because she has lived there for so long, so she basically localises the whole plan.
The reason? Nothing much, just Rin's pent up frustration as a History professor and her anger towards the sheer exploitation these white people have pulled off. Kitay thought the heist was a bit too extreme, but he will always be her willing executioner after all.
sidenote: Nezha is in no way, shape or form involved with the humanities world, but he loves them too much to say no.
And Venka enabled Rin from day 1 because she found it hilarious.
Maybe I should write a fic after my exams about this 😭😭
