Cessna Citation X (C750) Business Aircraft

The Cessna Citation X is a super mid-size jet which received it's FAA type certification in 1996. It was a large competitor to the Gulfstream G650. With that being said, the Citation X had completed another upgrade in 2014, which turned out to be the Citation X+. This pushed its maximum cruise speed to Mach 0.935, along with additional upgrades to range, avionics, winglets and more.

Originally powered by two Rolls-Royce AE3007C engines, with approximately 6,442 lbs force of thrust each. When the Citation X made its changes in 2002. They updated the engines to the AE3007C1, which increased thrust to around 6,764 lbs each. The final upgrade to these engines came in 2014 (AE3007C2), when Cessna introduced the Citation X+. This increased thrust to its highest level at 7,034 lbs each.

The winglets were another feature upgrade on the Citation X+. The addition of these elements have allowed the aircraft to improve its takeoff performance, time to climb, range, fuel consumption and more.

The maximum range that you can find on a standard base model Citation X, is approximately 3,070 nautical miles. It's maximum take off weight (MTOW) is around 36,100 lbs, maximum landing weight (MLW) is close to 31,800 lbs and its maximum cruise altitude is 51,000 ft.

When it comes to avionics, the Citation X comes with the Honeywell Primus 2000 Integrated Avionics system. This was later upgraded to the Garmin G5000 avionics suite, when Citation introduced the X+ variant.

The CJ4 comes in two standard configurations. One that can seat up to 10 passengers, while the other can seat up to 11. The CJ4 is also one of the largest jets from the manufacturer that can be flown with a single pilot. While being considered a crossover jet by Cessna. The Cessna Citation Latitude (Model 680A)

After achieving its FAA certification in 2015. The Cessna Citation Latitude began initial deliveries of the aircraft sometime in August of that year.

The Latitude shares many similarities with the Sovereign+. Some of those similarities includes the wing, tail and the engines. One fairly noticeable difference is the fuselage, which is taller and wider.

The cabin on this aircraft is approximately 6 ft in height and 6 ft 5" in width. This makes the Latitude one of the tallest and widest aircraft in the Citation family. The windows were also designed to be bigger to help provide more light within the cabin interior.

The aircraft is powered by twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306D1 turbofan engines. Each with approximately 5,907 lbs of thrust. With 4 passengers, the Latitude is capable of traveling up to 2,700 nautical miles. Although, the maximum range you can find on this aircraft is approximately 2,870 nautical miles.

The long range cruise speed on the Latitude is approximately Mach 0.56, while the maximum cruise speed is around Mach 0.67. Also, the maximum cruise altitude or certified ceiling is approximately 45,000 ft.

In the flight deck / cockpit, you can expect to find the Garmin G5000 Integrated Avionics Suite. Some features of the suite include; 4 full color touchscreen LCD displays, Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT), as well as a real time diagnostic / monitoring system called LinxUs.

Lightweight composite materials for the wing fairings and nose radome, help improve the overall cruise speed of the aircraft.

The external baggage compartment can contain up to 100 cubic feet of storage.

Cessna Citation CJ2 Model 525A / C25A Business Jet

The Cessna Citation CJ2 is an upgraded model from the CJ1 and has 5 ft extended fuselage. It also has improved avionics, lengthened wings and upgraded engines. It was manufactured between the year 2000 and 2005, and has produced approximately 243 total aircraft.

With the extended fuselage, the CJ2 is able to include an additional two windows in its cabin to allow for more abundant light.

A key feature on the CJ2 is its natural laminar flow wing, which is meant to improve handling and short field performance. It also includes a heated leading edge. For de-icing, this aircraft uses engine bleed air to heat the leading edges on the wing and engine inlets.

The engines installed on the CJ2 are the Williams / Rolls-Royce FJ44-2C turbofans. This allows the aircraft to travel to a maximum range of approximately 1,605 nautical miles at full fuel (3,930 lbs), and reach a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.61. It's maximum cruise altitude / service ceiling is approximately 45,000 ft.

In a standard configuration, you can expect to find seating for 6 passengers in the cabin area. In terms of avionics, this aircraft uses the Collins Pro Line 21. This integrated avionic system includes two large LCD displays which help improve situational awareness and overall safety.

-This aircraft includes thrust attenuators. The purpose is to help reduce thrust output at an idle power setting. -The large aft external baggage compartment can hold approximately 50 cu ft of storage.

The Textron Cessna Citation CJ4

The Cessna Citation CJ4 is one of the larger light jets from the company which can be flown with a single pilot. Cessna classifies this as a crossover jet. Which essentially means it can be used for personal or business use. The CJ4 can seat up to anywhere from 10-11 passengers in a standard configuration. Also, similar to the Citation Mustang, you can find baggage compartments located in the nose and aft or rear of the aircraft.

The CJ4 is an upgrade to the previous CJ3 model and has a longer body / fuselage. It has a maximum range of 2,165 nautical miles and a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.67. This aircraft comes standard with two Williams FJ44-4A turbofans with approx. 3,000 lbs force of thrust. Which makes this aircraft very fuel efficient and quieter than many other aircraft of similar class.

In terms of avionics, the CJ4 uses the Rockwell Collins Proline 21 avionics suite. Which overall helps reduce pilot workload and improve safety. The wing is an upgrade from the Sovereign model and is a, "slim wing" which is said to help improve aerodynamics. Similar to the Mustang, it also includes speed brakes which are controlled by a closed center hydraulic system.

Another noticeable improvement on the CJ4 is the windshield. On this model you can expect the windshield to be electrically heated, as opposed to pneumatically heated.

-The CJ4 also uses a single point refueling system which essentially helps speed up refueling time. -The door on this aircraft is actually very similar to the design of the Citation Mustang (single throw).
