Super underrated aspect of Jindy is the “it’s obvious to literally everybody but them” trope that they have going on! I think the masking/tsundere aspect overshadows this.
In their official character bios it says that (paraphrasing here) “… they have more in common than they realize, but they’re the only ones in Retroville who haven’t figured that out.” Like OMG?!!
That’s why I love “Vanishing Act” and “King of Mars” because in those episodes characters point out that Jindy is obvious and that Jimmy and Cindy are the only ones oblivious to it lol. Especially Betty, a character neither of them are close to, straight up going “I know ALL ABOUT the whole you and Neutron- thing 🙄” is CRAZY.
But also, if you were aware to their thing, why were you still flirting with Jimmy, Betty 🤨?
She’s lowkey manipulative towards Jimmy to get what she wants out of him. In Vanishing Act she drops the nice facade once she realizes that Jimmy’s favors aren’t worth bearing Cindy’s rage.
Not saying she’s evil but she manipulates and acts dense to get favors out of people so she’s definitely not nice either.
THIS!! Yes!! I stinkin love this concept, like it’s so funny that the entire town is completely aware of Jindy and probably have a secret shipping club for them (headcanon lol) Not only do I think they’re oblivious to it, but also that they don’t wanna admit the fact. They’re totally in denial.
Tbh, as much as I can’t stand Betty, I haven’t ever thought of her in a manipulative way like that, but that honestly makes sense… Thanks for giving me yet another reason to dislike her XD Ick. I mean if she was given more development and Jimmy didn’t drool over her so much throughout the series, then I would probably actually like her character. Too bad she’s just there for conflict 🙄

Am I the only one who hates it when people refer to Cindy as a tomboy? Yes, she's skilled in martial arts and is technically more advanced than Jimmy when it comes to physical activities, but she still very much has a girly side. Her entire room is covered in pink, she enjoys makeup and other girly things.
That’s fair honestly, while I get why some people tend to refer to her as such, I agree with you on that she doesn’t really qualify as one in my eyes, lol. I see her more as an in-between really, her personality seems to have aspects of both.
