Usually I prefer to read issues about villains with shorter appearance lists but I dipped my toes into one (1) Sabretooth issue and promptly did a headfirst slide into hyperfixation town [gripping head] 500+ issues. good god

It's Pride Month, @snowflame-official. You know what that means!
A few friends and I were talking about all the little details involving Otto in the latest chapters of The Amazing Spider-Man 80 and 80.BEY, and we started looking at the flower symbolism for the comic. Considering Otto’s penchant for symbolism, I wouldn’t put it past the writers to have picked out the flowers that he gives May in this comic based on floriography.
The first ones appear to be purple tulips, which he gives to Aunt May upon their meeting in the restaurant. The most common meaning for tulips is perfect or deep love, sometimes rebirth, but purple tulips in particular can mean royalty. Wouldn't be surprised if he intended it to be that first meaning and picked purple because that's May's color. It’s an interesting detail, but what’s more interesting is the fact that he does this again in #80.BEY soon after. He gives May a flower brooch, particularly resembling an octopus’ tentacles and having exactly eight petals (and in his colors, too).
It’s harder to tell what sort of flower this is supposed to be, but I eventually decided that it bears quite the resemblance to some varieties of clematis. They have a tendency to have eight, curly edged petals.
The clematis flowers symbolize mental beauty and ingenuity, two particular things that we know Otto enjoys. They can also symbolize everlasting love. Interesting that he’s picked two flowers in a row with that same sort of meaning, isn’t it?
Story time! So, some of my Discord friends let me know about a sort of “waifu roulette” bot called Mudae. Basically, you roll 10 different characters at a time from an assortment of fandoms, and you can claim them. Pretty neat! When I went to get this bot on my server I remember reading something that a different user had posted that was along the lines of “This bot was great until somebody got Albedo and it caused problems”. I naturally assumed they were talking about Albedo from Ben 10, as this was the only character I knew at the time named Albedo, and thought it was funny. Of course someone out there really likes Albedo. This stuck with me because of that.
Well. Today I learned from this post that albedo is a real word, so I go to Google to see what the definition is. And what do I see besides the definition?
That’s right baby it’s Albedo Genshin Impact.
How foolish I was.
