My mom and I decided to go fishing today, but everything didn't go according to plan.
We quickly got tired of sitting in one place, and we went to the fields. We found an amazing place with lotuses there. This is the first time I've seen them in person. Yellow pots are familiar to me, but white lotuses turned out to be something new.
The problem started with the fishing rods, which were both six meters long. My mother got tangled in the trees. She's a nervous person with mild Tourette's syndrome, so it was accompanied by a lot of swearing. She tried to free herself, but she only got more tangled. In the end, she cursed loudly, broke the fishing rod, threw it aside, and said, "Fmeowck this fishing."
My situation wasn't much better. I was also getting tangled, but I have a strong nerve. But I didn't notice that I had cut my fingers with the hook. I only realized it at the end.
I walked a little further and found the perfect place without trees. I gave my fishing rod to mother, and went to explore the surroundings. The whole beach was covered with lotuses, and for some reason I firmly decided: I need them. I got into the water. Right in the clothes. The bottom turned out to be muddy, slimy, sucking and with algae (brrr... I don't like that). But I got closer anyway, and I still couldn't reach it.
It started raining. It's a good thing for me: I love the rain. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a huge striped spider. As the water lilies shook, the spider crawled under the water, and I suddenly lost the urge to continue. However, I was already waist-deep in the water, and I decided, "If I've started, I'll see it through." AND I DID IT.
When I got out, I noticed a huge, spreading willow tree.
It was the perfect tree to climb. It was so wide that I didn't even climb it, I just walked on it. I climbed all the way to the top of the willow (almost falling once) and found IT in a crevice near the roots.
Do you know what this is? THE HORNS OF A STAG BEETLE. A rare species from the Red Book! I've never seen them in person, but I've always dreamed of encountering them in the wild. Now, my dream has come true, albeit partially.
Next, I found a wild apple tree. The apples were bitter. Then I found a flowering willow. The smell was amazing. Then I found some unfamiliar flowers. And I came across a lawn filled with dragonflies.
You know, it's a sin not to catch some. I also picked some sage for tea, which is very helpful for illnesses.
Meanwhile, the rain was getting heavier. In the distance, we could see a dark, blurry wall of rain. If we didn't hurry, we wouldn't be able to get out, as we had driven through the fields.
We didn't make it in time. The rain washed away the dusty road, turning it into mud. The car got stuck. No matter how hard we tried to get out, it was no use. We had to get out and push it through the rain. We were covered in mud from head to toe. It took us half an hour, but we finally got out.
I came home wet, dirty, and tired, but happy.
