I was SO excited to do a little holiday scene of Cid from Final Fantasy 16 along with a mischievous little Bat!Astarion from Baldur's Gate 3. Be careful where he hangs that mistletoe!

Weird how black people aren't allowed to exist. Japanese developers get a huge pass on things like that.

Weird how one of the plots revolves around slavery but our main character who becomes a slave is never really inconvenienced by it, he always has a plot device to circumvent the issue

I would at least think that this is a social commentary but I don't think the writers are allowed to put that much effort into it cause the leads are who they are.

The plot feels like a 14 year old boy who only watched the last season of Game of Thrones wrote it.

Take a shot every time a woman was put in or alluded to a rapey situation.

All the plot twists or story beats are the most basic things that you will see coming as long as you have a heartbeat.

Cid makes no sense with his speech at the end of "disc 1". He says he learns something from Clive but he's the one that taught Clive this.

Cid telling Clive to kill himself was peak.

They really not going to show how they got to the capital or to Crystal mines? Seriously? Another Final Fantasy city gets ignored...

They did the same thing with Clive's backstory, they skipped the interesting parts and showed us basic run of the mill stuff.

Wide hallways are still hallways, ppl give this game a pass for some reason.

Most of the characters seem to talk past each other

Pretty sure Clive wants to fuck Gav and Cid.

Can't help but feel that when you kill a character off that you should show more of it and not just cut away and then come back for the final words or whatever

Game looks pretty, yay...

The game runs well for the most part.

The side quests are 100% FF XIV quality which is to say absolutely fucking terrible. I thought the first side quests were gonna be built on... Lol.

How was Titan able to go into the dead lands if there's no magic allowed?

Clive's mom being stereotypical evil is a bore.

I keep forgetting Jill exists.

Combat is ok... But like mindless. Nothing is a threat as fights don't get harder as they go on.

I love dogs but shit Clive makes me wish Torgal would fucking die cause Clive won't shut the fuck up in battle. CO grats FF XVI devs you made me hate a dog.

So many more bad things I just can't process them all.

Overall I don't want to play this game anymore.

Clive is a good character and there's some quality interactions but hot damn is this game soulless. I forced myself to play FF VII Remake and Rebirth just because it was fun to see how bad they fucked up FF VII but XVI doesn't even have that going for it.
