do you hear ANTI-HERO by TAYLOR SWIFT playing? oh, that must be GWYNEVERE ' GWYN ' BIANCHI breezing by. i donât know if you recognize them, but they look like KENNEDY MCMANN to me. i heard that SHE/HER has been in town for TWO WEEKS ( AFTER LEAVING NINE YEARS AGO ), which is crazy considering they are 29 years old. yeah, they live over on PENNY LANE, and i heard that they work as a FINANCIAL ADVISOR ( IN TOWN ). i love that they remind me of FROSTED WINDOWS, SPARKLING APPLE CIDER SERVED IN CHAMPAGNE FLUTES, SOFT CURLS SLIPPING FROM CLAW CLIPS, and HIGH HEELS SINKING INTO GRASS but ⌠ugh, their playlist is so weird. why are MAD, RIP HER TO SHREDS, in the queue?
Gwynevere Bianchi grew up with twigs in her hair and dirt between her toes, running through rows of apple trees and twirling around a cozy living room filled with love. Everything changed when she turned twelve and her mom received a terminal diagnosis. Too young to fully understand what the words ' lung cancer ' meant, but old enough to know exactly what ' look after the boys ' meant. Words she took to heart when her mom lost her battle to cancer not long after she spoke them. Her father and older brother became her top priority, and they needed her.
They processed her death in their own ways. Her brother got angry, went catatonic, but Angelo, her father, lost himself to the grief. Gwyn didn't process it at all, simply shoved it into some corner in her heart and iced it over. It was hard, at first. The tears came easily, though she got good at hiding them; her limbs felt leaden, so she practiced her posture; she stopped sleeping, picked up a caffeine addiction before her teen years properly settled in. None of that mattered, not when there was a household to run â meals to make, laundry to fold, rooms to clean. No one else could keep up, so Gwyn picked up the slack. She could never replace her mother, didn't have to same warm countenance, the same magic touch, but she kept them afloat.
The more she had to focus on, the less her chest ached. Gwyn told herself it was the relief of upholding her promise. Weeks turned into months, months turned into years, and before long, her responsibilities stretched past the home and bled into the farm. Not that she minded, she much preferred days spent learning from her father over caring for him. As much as she loved being outside, Gwyn felt most competent inside Angelo's office, balancing his books. Numbers always came naturally to her; they made sense in ways emotions never could. It wasn't a surprise when she settled into the worn leather chair â at least, not to Gwyn. But her father, who paid little attention to anything beyond the loss, was a little shocked, if not grateful. He always enjoyed the time spent outside anyway.
Slowly but surely, her boys healed under her quiet dedication. So much so, that when her brother left for college, it didn't feel like an Earth shattering loss. Gwyn and Angelo fully settled into their routine, splitting jobs and household chores alike. When she graduated high school, she stayed local, couldn't imagine leaving her dad now, even if it meant a full time class load on top of her full time work schedule. It was worth it, putting any dreams that came to mind on hold, if it meant she kept her promise. And it felt worth it, until her brother returned home and Angelo handed him the title of co-owner â just like that.
Years of practice meant that, after taking a brief intervention to scream at the moon, Gwyn returned to their home and put on a brave face, until she tore the life she knew apart in order to escape it. Before the end of the week, she applied to transfer to NYU, broke up with her boyfriend, and packed only what she needed into a single suitcase. Without saying a word to the people she swore to look after, she ran away without looking back. Out of spite, she blossomed in the city; graduated with honors and more connections than needed. She had friends that didn't know her, clients that loved her propensity for making them more money, and a sterile apartment she never had to clean herself. Gwyn became someone her boys wouldn't recognize. Consequently, she became someone her mom wouldn't recognize, either, but any emotion that brought up only got tucked into some corner of her heart and iced over.
With Angelo's retirement fast approaching, he took bigger and bigger steps back, leaving his son to run Bianchi Farms. His latest trust fall included a five month trip to rural Europe ( a trip he swore their mother wanted, once upon a time ), complete with limited cell service. It took her brother all of one week before he called Gwyn, begging for her help. It took another week of begging and a healthy dose of familial guilt tripping before she caved with the insistence that she only stayed as long as it took to fix whatever mistake he made. Only, it became very clear from the moment she stepped into what should've been her office, Gwyn needed much longer than the week she anticipated.

do you hear WISH ON AN EYELASH PT 2. BY MALLRAT playing? oh, that must be RORY MARCHISIO breezing by. i donât know if you recognize them, but they look like JACK INNANEN to me. i heard that HE has been in town for TWENTY SEVEN YEARS which is crazy considering they are TWENTY-SEVEN years old. yeah, they live over on PENNY LANE, and i heard that they work as an CONTENT CREATOR / ANIMAL HANDLER AT BIANCHI FARMS (IN TOWN). i love that they remind me of FADED PEANUTS CARTOONS IN NEWSPAPERS, THE BELOVED GOLDEN RETRIEVER BY HIS SIDE, NONSENSICAL THRIFT STORE TSHIRT FINDS, but ⌠ugh, their playlist is so weird. why is/are WHAT'S NEW SCOOBY DOO (muse c) in the queue?
âşÂ  REPLAYING PIRATE RADIO BY JEAN DAWSON.
take heed: mentions of adoption, car accident, brain injury / seizures below.
full name.    rowan everett marchisio (born sorenson).  nickname.    goes solely by rory.     date of birth/age.    august 23rd,  26. zodiac.    virgo.  location of birth.    goshen, new hampshire.  current residence.     penny lane, cider point. sexuality/orientation.   ????
mother.    carys dewolfe (biological mother), technically a missing person.  father.    unknown birth father. sava alwai, preschool teacher. isaac marchisio, lumber yard owner.      siblings.    middle child of 12 - various.    extended family.    various aunts/uncles/cousins/family friends, inc. oliver alaya.  pets.    golden retriever named liberty.      partners.    none:p
âşÂ   ACT I.   ⸺ you're young and you're precious, hearts big as texas ...
rory doesn't remember his birth parents, but the story goes like this: teenage mother gets handed a bad deal, does what she thinks is best and puts her baby up for adoption. this is how he lands smack dab in the middle of 12 children â their own version of cheaper by the dozen, though desperately wanted and loved regardless of the amount of mouths to feed. sava was a preschool teacher at the montessori school that had opened up, leaving his job at the combined elementary school at the start of the new year. isaac was a semi-heir to a construction company, but he created an offshoot of his own, marchisio tools and lumber, which is kind like a home depot or lowes but focuses on area-owned and local businesses. they eventually expanded into 15 stores across new england, but their main shop is in goshen.
the family business â more offshoots concerning construction and home improvement, for some reason found itself in florida; then found itself building its station in ciderpoint by the time rory was less than a year old, and he hasn't left since â the family crowding into a actually decent sized house (but is any house decent enough for 12 people???) and begining to build roots here.
rory doesn't remember a time where he wasn't ridiculously doted upon; despite the sheer amount of siblings (and some that would come and go, as they were foster parents after all), he never felt slighted or ignored. with every person who would come or go, the love in the house seemed to get bigger. they weren't exactly flush with cash, but they were rich in love or whatever bullshit his dads liked to say. the children were encouraged to express themselves, moreso of a hands-off kind of parenting, willing to let them reap the consequences (as long as they weren't too dire â they could get a stomach ache from eating a whole box of gummies, but they weren't about to allow being in the back of cop cars). if this is a logical choice or because they had their hands full already is not here nor there, because his dads always showed up when he needed them.
âşÂ   ACT II.   ⸺ this is the story of my life and i think i'm finally getting it ...
rory is free spirited in the same way a golden retriever is â inhibitions don't exist, and he's willing to try anything once as long as it's not scary. childhood was spent playing in their hand-made treehouses, âfishingâ in the streams on their various acre home land and attending his older siblings sporting and other events. he's not the worlds brightest bulb, but he tries his best to be a good person at the very least. always trotting around behind his older siblings or holding a baby to his hip, the family is exceptionally close. taught empathy, humility and maybe too little personal space boundaries.
he's put into all sorts of activities, if not by his interest, than wanting to be the same as his older siblings (who he idolizes lowkey). from music, arts & crafts to sports â which he stuck with football all the way up until high school ended â there was nothing his parents didn't try to make stick. rory is a jack of all trades; good at some, best at none. his attention span lacks in ambition and he gets halfway through a project before it's abandoned. he has good intentions, but the actualities leave many things to be desired. there's no real drama; his life is actually kind of idyllic, which only serves him to attempt to grow into a good person â he's not perfect, and he struggles, particularly with dealing with social situations (diagnosed autism when he's 13), and tends to just be kind of out there. this, in his family at least, was never something to be ashamed of â always taught to embrace his quirks and differences, rory carries this with him; an unabashed sense of self, hoping to spread it to everyone else, too. everyone is a friend and deserves a friend (unless they're mean - but they still deserve love).
he stays in town all of his life; rory doesn't mind this. his mind doesn't wander to what else could be out there. he's settling roots of his own; investing in his future in a short-lived college career (for childhood education, he loves kids) and dropping out within 6 months because.. he's not fit for school. instead, due to the nature of his parents business, he starts as a ranch hand at bianchi farms - doing farmer things because he's more of a physical worker than anything else.
âşÂ   ACT III.   ⸺ this aint watertown & i'm on some alien ground ...
he changed jobs to something less laborious â animal handler instead, as he loves animals regardless. currently apart of a channel with his friends finding spooky mysteries and it brings him more joy to have a purpose, something fun, to do â constantly worries about how he's perceived after it all. wonders if people are treating him differently, but not enough to notice. doesn't want to be treated any differently just because something happened, but can't verbalize this. becomes upset (sometimes without reason) when he thinks this is happening â always feels bad after, but he's trying his best. there's been a lot of changes in the past year.
âşÂ   EXTRAS.   ⸺ in my generation, in my constellation ; moon & saturn ...
obsessed with love and weddings -- tries to set his friends up which ends up horribly because ??? bro, relax. will take things the extra mile and start planning his friends weddings in his head, dates and locations and all. should probably go into that as a career ngl. sometimes he gets so hyperfixated on this for some reason (he wants love).
is also an insane blabbermouth. DO NOT TELL HIM ANYTHING â his brain is kind of a defunct game of telephone at this point, he gets things confused and facts mixed. he will make more mistakes than humanly possibly because of this. he will spread the rumors you tell him with earnest (doesn't realize he's not supposed to) and then be confused why people are upset with him.
he's a bit of a lag behind; slow on the uptake, but he'll get there eventually. he's exceptionally great at research, and is a semi-good teacher depending on the subject. thinks in abstracts and word associations more than anything else, and some people find it weird or off putting. it's just how his mind always works. color coordinates sometimes and other times he just choses comfort over everything; is a terrible multi-texter due to his thoughts lapsing from either thinking too hard or taking a dial-up minute. i promise he's trying lmao give him a bit
the worlds sweetest guy; in elementary school, was given the award of everyone's friend which is just about his biggest description. confrontation makes him nervous and he tries to keep the peace whenever he can. anxious when people are upset, or thinks they're upset, and tries to do anything to make sure it's all smoothed over by the end of the day. kind of annoying about it ngl
loves animals. eventually will probably be working at a non-profit for them or a shelter of some kind. trying to convince oliver to adopt more cats, but he just has his beloved golden retriever named liberty who joins him at literally every place he can get her in; it's weird if liberty is not by his side. she is very very very beloved and often referred to as his daughter - he takes her care very seriously. more than his own. she's 3 years old and the love of his life, only accepting applications for her step parent thank you!
âşÂ   CONNECTS.   ⸺ you know i'll go if you go if you're cool with that ...
family â adopted siblings, former foster siblings, cousins, by - marriage: the marchisio's are a big family regardless of how you slice it â i like to imagine they planted a lot of roots, so i think it would be fun to have some family afoot. open to really anything, including siblings of his parents (nephew rorybear..), and not-related-but-might-as-well-be! Â i have a really specific wanted connection for an older sibling (think they were kind of opposites, so they had some kind of fight before this sibling left town) but after his accident, they returned for support, now they have a weird kind of limbo happening.Â
adults (non-fx): Â roommates!! this would be relatively new, as i think rory would want to get out from his dads' house due to .. everything that changed. i like to think they're a silly bunch of people who do silly little things.Â
ex friends: they used to be as thick as thieves until something happened. plenty more to be plotted.
antagonistic connections!!!!: give me people who think rory's annoying, maybe he spread an accidental rumor and fucked their shit up, maybe they have beef with his siblings, etc etc.
now i curse your acqua di gio: Â these guys were exes, and something happened â i like to imagine it was some kind of puppy-love high school thing, but they both kind of fell face-first and fast, but the relationship ended just as quickly.Â
who do i call now?: this person and rory were ⌠something. he's not sure if they ever were officially something, but they were extremely close, and at a weird point of âemotionally togetherâ  and acting like they were dating without the label. at a certain point, they became fraught, and their tether broke - now they're kind of in that weird i'm mad at you limbo.Â
liberty's godparent: liberty is his 3 yr old golden retriever who is essentially his child â this person and rory are close enough that in his will (google document), liberty goes to them. maybe cute childhood besties or something.Â
do you hear JUST LIKE MAGIC BY ARIANA GRANDE playing? oh, that must be ARIELLA PASCUA breezing by. i donât know if you recognize them, but they look like KYLIE VERZOSA to me. i heard that SHE has been in town for FIVE YEARS, which is crazy considering they are THIRTY-THREE years old. yeah, they live over on OCEAN AVENUE, and i heard that they work as the OWNER OF CRAFT CORNER @ THE GALLERIA ( OUT OF TOWN ). i love that they remind me of POST IT NOTES SCATTERED ACROSS YOUR HOME, SILK PAJAMAS ON SATIN SHEETS, SUNGLASSES OVER ROLLING EYES, EMBERS DANCING ABOVE A FIRE, STACKS OF PLANNERS WITH EVERY PAGE FILLED, & LOOKING DOWN FROM HER IVORY TOWER WHILE THE FOUNDATION CRUMBLES, but ⌠ugh, their playlist is so weird. why are MEET ME AT OUR SPOT, GIVES YOU HELL, MONA LISA, & CLEAN CITY in the queue?
STATISTICS:
full name: ariella aurora pascua
nicknames: no nicknames she hates them bad, she'll tell you her mother gave her a name for a reason âĄ
birthday: march 17, 1992
hometown: scarsdale, new york
occupation: owner of craft corner @ the galleria
hobbies: junk journaling, scrap booking, amigurumi making
lives: ocean avenue
trigger warnings: religion, death, grief
following a whim and dreams of becoming a wall street stock broker, henry pascua packed up and moved his wife across the world from pinili, ilocos norte to brooklyn, new york. it doesn't take long for the couple to begin solidifying a life there, aira pascua becoming pregnant with their daughter just a year later. it's when ariella aurora pascua is born that her father starts working in overtime, spending the first five years of her life mostly absent ( but only in physiciality ). as he would continue to reiterate to her well into adult life: the sacrifice was worth it. by the time ariella begins elementary school, her family is moving to the upper west side to ensure her enrollment in the best private catholic school.
her schooling goes by in a haze of routine: wake up two hours before school to finish chores and study, attend school for eight hours, extra curriculars from five to seven, dinner, chores, schoolwork, repeat. by the time she's in third grade they're moving to scarsdale, entering a new tax bracket that her father swears hinges on her dedication to success. when she reaches new york university she'll find that most people she meets didn't have the same upbringing, but she's thankful for the structure and discipline her parent's rigid routine has given her. routine is the foundation of success, after all, and pascua's are born for success. it's her freshman year roommate that starts chipping away at her walls, gaining her trust through random acts of kindess, and allowing silence and boundaries where other's would've pushed her away.
the more she lets her in, the more she feels herself blossom. before she knows it she's spending time with her roommates' friends ( and would even consider calling them friends of her own ), and taking up creative hobbies she never would've considered before. junk journaling and scrapbooking become her favorite weekend pastime, but her roommate manages to drag her out every third saturday for a night on the town. during her sophomore year, and after a particularly tense phone call with her mother, she decides her hobbies are too lucrative not to profit off of and opens her own etsy shop called craft corner. there she sells junk journaling and scrapbooking kits, funding the nights her roommate drags her out. it's on one of her scheduled breaks that she meets her soon to be fiancee, swept into a whirlwind of romance and softening more than she thought she'd be capable of.
it's through her relationship that she finds herself building a community for the first time in her life, a group of people that truly see her and believe in her. she earns her bachelors in business administration and all of the pieces seem to be falling in place for her. landing a steady job at a business consulting firm is her logical next step, though she keeps her etsy business running ( purely because it's lucrative, because she can't admit she loves it ). at twenty-five her boyfriend proposes, and she swears life can't get any better than that. they spent a year and a half in premarital bliss before the unthinkable happens, her fiancee losing his life in a tragic accident just six months before their wedding.
the next year and a half are spent in a grief filled haze, all of the friends she'd grown to cherish pushed away one by one. the tragedy reminds her of what she's always known: the only thing you can count on is work and your parents. it doesn't take long for her to end up back under their roof, rebuilding herself from the ground up. on her twenty-eighth birthday, she decides she's had enough, that she can't heal in the same place she broke. on a whim that feels foreign to her, she packs up her things and sets off driving. she doesn't have a destination in mind, just the need to be far, far away.
as it turns out, far, far away was only a few states away. she'd only intended to stop by for the night, landing in cider point and staying at the local inn. the owner managed to charm her overnight, convincing her to tour the town for the day. that day was all it took for her to fall in love, extending her stay at the inn while searching for property on ocean avenue. after two years in town, she's considering packing up and starting again somewhere else, flighty nature kicking in. then, she meets theodora, who gives her a glimpse of the ariella she was getting to know in college. that glimpse is enough to fully ground her in town, leasing out a space in the galleria mall and opening up a physical version of her etsy shop. over the years it's expanded, growing in to a full blown stationary store with her own employees. she's still rough around the edges, but every day is a testament to her healing, and maybe with enough time ( and grace ) she'll be able to round those edges out again.
Do you hear "I CAN ONLY BE ME" BY MARS ARGO playing? Oh, that must be MORGAN KASPER breezing by. I donât know if you recognize her, but she looks like HANNAH EINBINDER to me. I heard that SHE has been in town for SEVEN YEARS (RECENTLY RETURNED), which is crazy considering she is 32 years old. Yeah, she lives over on OCEAN AVENUE, and I heard that she works as an ACTRESS (OUT OF TOWN). I love that she reminds me of THE SOUND OF A CAMERA SHUTTER, A BOUQUET OF A HUNDRED ROSES, AND MANUSCRIPTS SCATTERED ACROSS A TABLE, but ⌠ugh, their playlist is so weird. Why are "HATES ME YET (222)" BY THE BAND CAMINO and "KILLING ME SOFTLY WITH HIS SONG" BY FUGEES in the queue?
Morgan was the middle child born to Audrey Knight and William Kasper, a voice actress and an accountant, in Cider Point, Massachusetts. Her life was relatively normal until she was thrust into the world of child acting at the age of four. She canât remember why she started acting, but her earliest memories involve getting headshots taken and sitting in audition rooms. She started off doing commercials, but at the age of seven, she landed her first television role. This was when she, her father, and siblings relocated to Hollywood, California, and when her father quit his accounting job to become her full-time manager.
It was also around this time that William filed for divorce and petitioned the courts for full custody of all three children. Audrey had always struggled with her mental health, and by the time she gave birth to her youngest child, she was struggling immensely with emotional regulation. William demonized Audrey and made her out to be an unfit mother, not because he actually believed it, but because Audrey didn't want to move the family to the other side of the country and have her elementary-aged daughter working a full-time job. At the end of the day, the judge sided with William and his smear campaign, and once the Kasper family was settled in California, none of the three Kasper children saw their mother again.
Once she was in California, she threw herself into her work. She redirected the sadness she felt from being abandoned and leaving all of her friends in Cider Point behind into memorizing lines and faking smiles. Over the years, she became well-known for her roles in TV and movies, and her name became a household name. As she grew older, however, she started to feel more and more drained by long work hours and lack of normalcy in her life. She was the primary breadwinner of her household before she knew her times tables. While her siblings were able to attend expensive private schools and hang out with friends, Morgan was being homeschooled and was surrounded by other actors on a daily basis.
In her teens, Morgan made a plan to go to college and get a degree in film production. She still enjoyed the world of TV and film, but she wanted a chance to experience it from the other side of the camera. But once she turned 18, her father sat her down and revealed that she didn't have the college fund she thought she did. In fact, William was inches away from bankruptcy due to his poor financial decisions and gambling addiction. Wanting to make sure her family wasn't thrust into destitution, she pushed herself even harder to keep her name out there as she transitioned from child acting to adult roles.
Morgan didn't see as much commercial success as a young adult as she did as a child, but it was enough to keep her family afloat and for her to start making her own investments, which she kept far out of William's reach. Once her younger brother reached his teen years, he started his own YouTube channel, and their father of course found a way to monetize this. Soon enough, he transitioned from managing his daughter's acting career to managing his son's newfound success. After her unsuccessful attempt at intervening, she decided it was time to cut her family off. Even after cutting them off, Morgan continued acting. The fun of acting left many years before, but Morgan didn't know how to do anything else.
After getting over the hump of financial struggles, Morgan's mental health took a turn for the worse. She found more success once she got a new manager, started booking better roles, and entered into a PR relationship with another actor after ending her first real relationship, but she was miserable and made it everyone else's problem. She got herself into trouble more times than she could remember but was able to get most of those scandals covered up thanks to her manager and PR team. After crashing a car and nearly losing her life in early 2026, Morgan was sent to a psychiatric facility for her own safety, which her PR team spun to the public as a "wellness retreat." It was there that she realized that she needed to take some time away from the spotlight, which is how she ended up back in her hometown in her grandfather's guest bedroom. But who is Morgan when she's not acting? She doesn't know, but she's taking her hiatus as an opportunity to figure that out.

what she couldn't have expected was the postpartum depression that would wrack her body when briar was born. she managed to push through, but it wasn't easy. he was colicky, then he was needy, then so hyperactive she couldn't catch up with them. this was around the first time she'd realized she'd bitten off more than she could chew (and around the time briar would tell you she began to resent them, if you asked)
constantly exhausted and barely out of the throes of mental illness, briar's mother knew she couldn't do this alone anymore. finally, she took up her family's offer to help raise briar, and moved them both to cider point to be with her parents; briar was almost two.
it was just in time for school â and god, did it take a village to raise briar. he never did particularly well in school; not for lack of smarts, because he had plenty. but he didn't learn the way other kids did, and no one was willing to stop and figure out why. easier to write them off as "difficult", briar fell behind quickly, and in order to keep him from falling through the cracks, constant tutoring sessions began to replace the sports he'd liked to do. all for what he deemed useless because he just didn't get it.Â
briar became kind of a "lost cause" to schools quickly, but never to his mother. she moved him from school to school whenever he'd get in trouble. her love was pure, but briar was never let off easy, most blamed pinned on him for being too distracted, too unwilling to learn.
falls into the wrong crowd fast. feeling outcast by the authority figures at his school, he finds his own community. late nights skating, tagging, and doing some type of drug are frequent. so are the pained looks from their mother when they come home as the sun rises once again.
it culminates in a fight at age 16 that practically shakes their little trailer they call home. briar were going nowhere fast, she worked so hard for him and he's throwing it away. he leaves in a huff, taking only what he absolutely needed; his grandparents, his aunts & uncles all tried to get him to stay, but he couldn't do it.
briar couch surfs with his friends for a while before his older cousin & her fiancee take him in to their townhome in penny lane. he had no clue what he was going to do, but the couple struck a deal; he stays in school and actually tries to do the work, and he can stay with them. so, he finished up high school (albeit a year or so late).
that's why you'll see him at bay state gas most nights working the graveyard shift, doing fuck all on his phone or playing paper football with ... himself. he's part time in school studying what the fuck ever, but his heart's not in it -- all these years and he still doesn't know what the hell to do. he used to be a weed dealer, but there's dispensaries now, and it stopped being worth the headache when he ran out of kids to sell oregano to. still acquires the good shit, but now it's for himself <3
â headcanons .á
absolutely whacked with a case of severe adhd (based off of my experience as someone w it) that does impact every area of their life. he got diagnosed like four years ago, and he promises he's taking his adderall. sometimes. probably. briar's impulsive (and often self-destructive in an effort to complete some self fulfilling prophecy) actions are often attributed to this. "did you take your meds?" sets him off (often to an irrational degree). he's still got a complex about how he feels his brain fucked up his whole life and nobody did anything until now. best not to mention it at all.
a ridiculous flirt, kind of easy honestly. extremely susceptible to flattery and prone to dishing it out. owns several pieces of merchandise with "i <3 milfs" on it. really annoying and it's worse that a lot of the time it works.
loves spray-painting & tagging, total adrenaline junkie; tags obscenely rich houses and corporation buildings typically. an occasional freeway overpass if he's feeling it. very much subscribes to the "eat the rich" mentality.
always doing something with their limbs; tapping their fingers, bouncing their leg, fiddling with their hair. like the energizer bunny on ... well, adderall.
practices "california sobriety". is high often, says it "calms him" (right right); doesn't particularly enjoy alcohol, though, because he "doesn't like how it makes him feel". will down virgin pina coladas with concerning intensity.
doesn't drive, prefers to just skate everywhere or take the bus. economic king !
will never cut his hair beyond a trim. either wears it down or up in some kind of ponytail/bun combo. braids are rare; he enjoys wearing them, but doesn't love the work of doing them
very close with his grandparents (especially his grandmother) still. calls her at least three or four times a week and visits her when his mom isn't home. many of his fondest memories are connected to her.
talks to his mom maybe once a month. neither of them want to unpack what happened.
almost always able to talk his way out of anything. boyishly charming to an annoying degree.
enjoys an occasional crop top.
â wanted .á
anything in his pinterest wanted section.
funny gas station stories: self explanatory. something stupid from the graveyard shift. briar's accidentally been a part of many, many people's lives this way.
hookups: self explanatory. briar's a whore and loves to spread their boundless love <3
platonic: any type of friends. I'd love a best friend, childhood platonic soulmate type shit. a group of friends would also be quite fun; as bad as briar's in in relationships, they're a really good friend. maybe a little flighty, but easy to get along with and even easier to have fun with. offers weirdly good advice, too.
exes, past flings, etc.: briar dates casually, but never for very long. it's always intense in a way that probably isn't healthy for anyone involved. he's long since resigned himself to being the villain in a decent amount of stories, even if he's trying to get better now. it comes with the territory, he supposes. will very rarely say no to a cheeky one night stand or a random intense fling!
the usual: friends, smoking buddies, old classmates, a bully, frenemies, enemies, acquaintances, rivals (academic or otherwise), random one off meetings -- let's throw play-doh at the wall and have fun!! :D
do you hear glum by hayley williams playing? oh, that must be montana 'monty' marchisio breezing by. i donât know if you recognize them, but they look like chase infiniti to me. i heard that she has been in town for twenty six years, which is crazy considering they are twenty six years old. yeah, they live over on penny lane, and i heard that they work as an ensemble violinist at the theater of arts (in town).  i love that they remind me of broken bow strings after playing a show, the constant insatiability of youth in the form of a ticking time bomb, a journal filled with thoughts messier than your room but⌠ugh, their playlist is so weird. why are stupid song by olivia rodrigo + in the living room by maggie rogers (muse b) + remember my name by mitski in the queue?
do you hear WILD SIDE BY NORMANI playing? oh, that must be GENESIS CARTER breezing by. i heard that SHE has been in town for HER WHOLE LIFE, which is crazy considering she is THIRTY-TWO years old. yeah, she lives over on ELECTRIC AVENUE, and i heard that she works as a BARTENDER @ MILKSHAKE BAR (IN TOWN). i love that she reminds me of TEQUILA SUNRISES, DARK MATTE LIPSTICK, THE SMELL OF LAVENDER & JASMINE, & SLIPPING OUT OF BED BEFORE THE OTHER WAKES UP, but ⌠ugh, her playlist is so weird. why are MY BLOOD, DIAMONDS ARE A GIRLâS BEST FRIEND, & ANTHEMS FOR A SEVENTEEN YEAR-OLD GIRL in the queue?

ii. back story
(tw: parental death)
born to one marisol rivera, who didn't feel like she was capable of raising a child when she was still trying to figure out life for herself, genesis' time in the womb was spent with the woman sizing up one couple after another in search of people that would give her daughter the life she couldn't: a two parent household with siblings and where there was an unlimited amount of love, financial stability, and memories every child deserved.
officially adopted by the carters, she was raised in a loving home and couldn't have asked for a better upbringing or people to call family, yet she still found herself struggling with feeling like she'd been abandoned, and with no idea of who she was since she didn't know where she came from. but she's very much not a "wear your heart or your emotions on your sleeve" kind of gal so instead of learning to regulate her emotions, pre-teen genesis was starting to become a little bitch. her dads knew that she needed a much healthier way to deal with her big girl feelings, so they suggested she find a hobby or craft to help her work out her shit because they were not about to raise a real life alison dilaurentis or regina george.
she turned to dance as an outlet for her emotions, and sure enough, it helped calm her down (for the most part). she went from dance classes at a studio in town to the high school dance team, and while she did just the bare minimum in academics, she put her all into her passion. she helped lead the team to nationals, and it was then that she decided to pursue dance professionally. college dancing was far more cutthroat than she was used to, and the curriculum was a lot more rigorous than she'd been prepared for, so she only made it through the first two years before dropping out. luckily the boston celtics provided a backup option, and she sailed right through the auditions before landing a spot on the roster. she spent the next five years being hot, throwing ass on the court, and being wined and dined by ballers (which yes, went against the organization's code of conduct but she's too smart to turn down designer bags and private jets).
once she 'retired' from the celtics dance team (or probably got fired for breaking said code of conduct, but that's neither here nor there), she returned to cider point, where a now terminally ill marisol reached out and finally wanted to get to know the daughter she gave up. with her fathers' blessing, she spent almost a year asking the woman every question she'd stressed and cried over for years, with the older latina giving her as much information about her side of their heritage as she could. gen was there when marisol took her final breath, and while it was sad to see the woman go, their brief time together had started to repair that little hole in her heart.
with plans of one day making it out of massachusetts and seeing the world, genesis started teaching dance class in and out of town during the day, while bartending at the milkshake bar at night. she's not complaining, but at this rate, it feels like it'll take forever to save up enough money before she's hopping back on flights. she doesn't have time for that, so if you ask, she is entertaining side hustles, such as [redacted].
