Today's progress: tail, feet and ears almost done!

While i'm waiting for my phone to charge i doodled some dumb pikachu headcanons.

I like drawing them closer to a real mouse shape, or even a chinchilla or a bunny? Or just an Orb(tm)

And some wild takes on how tf such a weirdly shaped tail could happen in realisticland. What if the shape is entirely made by dangling hair and the actual tail bone is just like a normal cat tail? Or what if its a weird lumpy thing with bone spikes, like a dinosaur tail but upside down? Or what if its not even fur but big feathery "sails" that it subtly twists in the wind to affect its aerodynamic turns while it runs?

In any case pikachu is not allowed to have a neck and that is all i can settle on. The moment they did that redesign is the exact cutoff between Fat Pikachu Era and Generic Creepily Humanoid Mascot Critter Future. Srsly it makes me feel like modern pika is a hello kitty, i just expect its head to pop off and be a tiny person inside. I still love it tho, as you can tell by the fact i loved mimikyu which is literally a tiny person inside a fake pikachu. Well, another pokemon at least! If it was actually a realistic lucky luciano i think i might just scream.

IN SUMMARY: i am going slightly nuts from everyone else having this new game except me. Im gonna go run around looking for game stores now and beg at the altar of capitalism that there's one lone copy somewhere in cardiff!
