If Psych is about Shawn Spencer knowing that he's the main character and taking advantage of it, Chuck is about Chuck Bartowski slowly learning and then accepting that he's actually the main character.

“don’t look back in anger” plays in my head as i rummage through a box of crap i haven’t thought twice about since my bestie/roomie reported me for cheating (even though i didn’t cheat) and got me kicked out of stanford five years ago and i’ve never really recovered from the blow and i’m stuck working at the buy-more and living with my sister and her awesome cardiothoracic surgeon boyfriend so i take the box of crap to the trash but it turns out my bestie/roomie who framed me did it to save me from a fate he thought would be worse for me than getting kicked out 12 credits short of graduation. this loss of agency would pale in comparison to what my bestie/roomie knew was coming for me. and we just wanted to do video games and play nerf dart assassins in the library together

I like Seth Cohen but at the same he makes me appreciate how much that Chuck Bartowski isn't a simp for Sarah Walker as Seth is for Summer Roberts.
